Reliable Cuts 4/23/2010

I've been getting my hair cut here for almost 5 years and have never been disappointed. A mix between a bar (w/o the drinks) and a barbershop, Floyds is always a good time. . \r \r The waits on the weekends can be LOOOONNNG, so definitely call first. Pros: Price, Atmosphere, Quality Cons: Waits more

Best Stylist in LA 4/15/2009

I've been going to Floyd's for over a year now and have tested the waters with a few different stylists. Recently, I had Vanessa cut my hair, she's new to the barbershop and gave me a fast awesome haircut and I couldn't be happier. Ask for Vanessa you won't be disappointed. Pros: Talented & Friendly Staff more

One of the worst haircuts I've ever had 9/2/2008

My roommate got his hair cut at the location in Venice, I decided to try the one closer. The whole experience was terrible. First off, I thought I'd get a haircut and shave but that location doesn't have barbers (licensed people who can shave you) working on Saturdays. That seemed odd, but I decided to just get the hair cut.\r \r To start off with, most of the stylists look like biker chicks, large women covered in tatoos. Definitely not what I was expecting from their online site. \r \r I sat down and the woman starts cutting my hair WITHOUT washing it NOR even using a water bottle to wet it down. She cut my hair differently from what I asked, trimmed my sideburns uneven, and didn't shave the back of my neck. I did get the massager run over my back which was nice. In the end she whipped off the coat and said you're done WITHOUT even showing me the back of my head. Its been a very very long time since I've gone to ""Supercuts"", but I very much believe that they would do a better job then this place.\r \r Bottom line: Stay away, go somewhere else, don't even think about going in unless you don't care about your hair.\r \r Pros: No appointment needed, cheap Cons: Terrible stylists, services advertised not offered, metered parking more

It does the job 6/27/2008

I'm one of those girls who doesn't usually abide by the 'haircut one every three months"" rule, especially because that can get pricey. Luckily, Floyd's offers a solution: they don't give you the spa treatment, but the stylists are well trained and friendly, and it's cheap! Each time I've been here the stylist understands what I want and I have yet to receive a haircut I was unhappy with. The only weird thing: they don't blowdry your hair: so the result is a little hazy for the first 45 minutes after. It's also not too busy on weekdays, so walking in is not a problem. Pros: Inexpensive Cons: Not for complicated cuts and styling more

Love the Extras 1/26/2008

Im used to those boring haircut chains but Floyd's is different. I had to wait a little bit but was told I could also call ahead so that is good. Got a good shampoo with scalp massage, straight-razor neck shave and a mini shoulder massage! I'll be back... more
