Totally TERRIBLE\r My wife and i went there 20 years ago and needed to be remodeled back then and the food was not great. We had a biarthday party we had to go to and the place has not changed or been remodeled and again the food was poor. Also there is no parking. Who would buy a restaurant with no parking? We won't be going back unless they remodel and update to the 2000's. more

Love it! 3/10/2010

Great place, great food! Was reading other reviews and there are 2 servers there we've had and love: Emily and Jamie. Emily is our favorite, ask for one of them and you will be pleased. Also I would recommend the chicken kiev- soooo good! more

Consistently good 7/8/2008

I've been to five alls for years, we used to go every year for my birthday, and now I go as much as I can. I've probably been there 10+ times and it is always excellent. I don't know why people complain about the decor, it's a medieval english resturaunt, it's supposed to be dark. The food is amazing, as everyone else has said the Oscar is amazing, the crab is good, the lobster was awesome. My faveorite part is the appetizers. The breadsticks are just amazing, and the meatballs are very good. It is very expensive but you get five courses. There are resturaunts similiarly priced in Utah and they all just come with the main dish. Five Alls comes with breadsticks, salad, meatballs, main course, and desert. Pros: Excellent food, I personally like the atmosphere. Cons: Parking is horrible. more

Best steak in Salt Lake City 9/23/2007

I love, love, love the Filet Oscar! Their steaks are sooo good. I went with a group and a girl in our party had a filet prepared well-done (BAD, I know) but at Five Alls it was actually still tender and not charred, even though it was cooked all the way through. I had a bite and was so surprised! My husband and I love it there, we go so often now we're pros! Yes, it's dark and definitely not modern, but I think that's part of their charm. They are TRYING to be old fashioned, it's an Old English theme. Anyway, if you haven't been go! Make a reservation because then you can request extra breadsticks and dip, which is an appetizer everyone gets. They're to die for, and if you ask for more when you make reservations they'll always give you more! (Just a tip- my husband and I do this everytime, because we love them, and always want more!) Becky and Phoebe are the best servers they have there, request them if you want A+ service. Pros: Great food, lots of it, not too pricey Cons: Parking is not easy, go in back and up to other entrance more

Fabulous food, can not be beat. 8/2/2006

Five-alls has fabulous food. Their Oscar Filet and King Crab legs can not be beat. Superb flavor and having traveled extensively I have never had a better steak prepared. The interior is dark and can be a bit drab but I believe it add's to the medieval atmosphere. With the heavy metal goblets and the waitresses attire it's a great place to go. The price I would consider even a bit low for what you get. The price includes appetizer, entree, and dessert. Definitely try this one out. Pros: Fabulous prepared food, great service, nice atmosphere Cons: The bathrooms need major work more

Better options to be found than Five Alls! 1/26/2006

Surprised by the low quality food! Visiting from out of town, we went to Five Alls on a weeknight- the food was not fresh and was poorly prepared, really lackluster. Our young server kept drifting in and out of a faux British accent- weird! Big price:quality mismatch here. Pros: The kids had fun more

Unpredictable service 4/29/2005

This 5 star restaurant has wonderful food but you will never know in advance if you will have 1 or 5 star service. Some of the waitresses there are great but others are lacking both in waitressing and simple phonics skills. I am a sucker for wonderful food so I keep going back for the great cuisine but if I was going to pay $50.00+ for the service I would need my head examined. I would highly recommend the Filet Oscar if you dare venture into the realm of service unpredictability. more

BEST FOOD ... poor service for the price. 4/1/2005

Five Alls offers a 7 setting meals with a great Old English style decor. The food is absolutely perfect, the chef takes his/her time to prepare each meal fresh ... but the service lacks your expectation of $40+ meal. Plan on spending the evening here as the meal will last about 2 hours as it is a dining experience. more

Always good 11/1/2004

My husband and I have been going to Five Alls for years now. They are always excellent, and for the amount of food you get for the price, they are hands down the best value in fine dining in all of Utah. They have stayed consistent for over 35 years. Not many places can boast that. Go weekdays to avoid any crowds, and weekends are good too, but request the windows or booths for extra romance! Filet Oscar is unbeatable, and their wine prices are SOOO low, but good selection! Pros: good value, great service, romantic Cons: , make reservations more

The Food 5/15/2003

I found the food to be excellent. I have been to the restaurant twice and both times with my husband. My husband had the soup and I had the strawberries for starters. We both loved and tried what the other ate. I would love to make that soup myself. My husband had the vegetable plate and I had the season dish of Lamb and found it was the best meal we both had enjoyed at a restaurant in a long time. I recommend the Five Alls to everyone. If your wanting a night out that is enjoyable and filled with excellent food, then you should make reservations and get a babysitter if you need one. Pros: excellent food, great atmosphere, great service Cons: take extra money more

Consistantly good. 3/6/2003

I eat at the Five Alls serveral times a year, and am satisfied everytime. Food Quality has always been out standing, service good as well. Pros: Excelent food, Best durring winter Cons: Parking, Needs updating more

very overrated 1/7/2003

I took my husband for a birthday dinner. Waited almost and hour and a half for our dinner, the food was not good, the service was slow, and there was this horrible smell through out the restaurant. Not to mention the same grungy decor that has been there at long as the place has been open. I don't understand how people can think its romantic! Not worth the money or time, there are so many better restaurants in Salt Lake now, especially for steak and seafood. more

Subpar 12/27/2002

After reading all the reviews here I finally went. The decor is shabby and dirty. Brown vinyl tablecloths? The food is marginal. WAY overrated. Laughable. Pros: big slabs o cow Cons: decor, cleanliness, food more

Best Overall 8/9/2002

This place has it all, great food, great service, great atmosphere. more

Very Romantic 7/24/2002
