Fetch saves the day!! 6/27/2011

I was making a life move driving with my two eleven year old Old English Sheepdog/Labrador mix companions, Nesta and Effie, from southern Alabama to Portland. Mid-trip, somewhere around Texas or so, my temporary arrangements for Nesta and Effie fell through and I was frantically searching for a new arrangement before my designated arrival date. My daughter found Fetch before I arrived, and I boarded Nesta and Effie for two weeks while I tried to find an alternate living situation for them until my house sold in Alabama, etc. I couldn't keep them with me because I was staying temporarily in a friend's tiny apartment in her house. I could find nothing. It had turned into a worst case scenario. Then, Just as I was on my way to pick my girls up at Fetch to driving them for an interview at the Oregon Humane Society to be placed as elder dogs in someone else's home, I received a call from Adam. He and Brit were concerned about what was happening with Nesta and Effie and ultimately through that conversation, Adam came to our rescue. He and Brit, and all those who work at Fetch, basically provided them with a home for the next ten months. Nesta and Effie loved Fetch, Adam and Brit, and every other person and dog there. They got to learn how to be social with other dogs of all ages and sizes, they got to dress up for Fetch's Halloween party, they were treated to new beds, and even sometimes got to go home with Adam and Brit for a break. I will never be able to thank Fetch enough for this. They saved my little family in a way I will forever cherish. Nesta and Effie are back with me now, happy and healthy. In case you can't tell...this is a love story. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are truly the BEST!! Nesta, Effie, and Jackie more

Best Doggy Day Care in Portland 7/27/2010

I think my Boxer, Ruby, might be the most frequent client at Fetch due to my busy travel/work schedule. She's there almost every week. The owners and staff take really great care of her, and when we start to walk toward the door Ruby's tail wags. They provide great customer service, charge very reasonable prices and provide a very loving environment for Ruby to play while I'm at work. I also love the great video and photo updates they post to their facebook page that I can see while I'm gone and share with family/friends. A+++ I drive all the way from Lake Oswego because I love the gange at Fetch so much. more

Bigger is not better. Ask Pepper. Check out Fetch 5/18/2010

I rescued a small mix from the Oregon Humane Society with hopes of being the hero dad. Reality soon set in and poor Pepper had such seperation issues that he chewed through his metal crate. \r \r In hindsight, thanks Oregon Humane Society for not returning my frantic phone calls when I was about to give up on my fur-baby. \r \r Fetch was my last resort. Consultation was iffy at best, but the owners said they would give him a shot. \r \r Seriously, I have a new dog. Chill. Social. Happy. They gave him the right amount of attention and socialization that he needed. I now have a self confident, loving, crazy-fun little dog. Seriously, check them out, small enough to give the care I was looking for, large enough where there are enough dogs to play with in a clean and large enviornment. \r \r They saved me from losing my mind and my little buddy. Pros: personal, clean, patient more

BEST DOG DAYCARE IN PORTLAND!!!! 4/3/2010

We have been taking our pups here once a week for quite some time and have been 100% pleased with the staff and facility (not to mention that the 2nd dog is 1/2 price). We boarded our dogs here over spring break and the staff went above and beyond their responsibilities. They walked our dogs every day (upon request), in addition to the full time play they were already getting, and even managed to commandeer some dog food for us when we didn't send enough. They were happy to accept phone call inquiries and have been nothing but patient and loving to our dogs and us. I can't stress enough how wonderful this place is and how overwhelmingly personable the owners are. Do your dogs a favor, do yourself a favor, support the best local business in town. Thanks Fetch! Pros: Staff commitment Cons: None more

Exceptional Care 3/13/2010

My dog was very uncomfortable around other dogs and they took the time, patience and expertise to get her to love playing with others. She looks forward to her next visit with her friends. Pros: They really love the dogs more

Wouldn't take my dog anywhere else 3/12/2010

The owners are great folks and they've hired great people. I have no doubt my dog is well looked after and he arrives home happy and exhausted after each visit. The monthly report cards for the dogs are adorable too. Unqualified recommendation. Pros: Great owners, great employees, genuine love of dogs. Cons: No cons. more

a great find 3/1/2010

After a long difficult search far and wide over the past two weeks, we found Fetch. Great customer service, nice sized facility, clean, and a good dog/human ratio. Thanks Fetch for being our dogs new second home and for your perfect location near my home. more

Awesome! 2/23/2010

I'm so happy to have moved from the 'largest doggy daycare in Portland' to Fetch! Great customer service makes all the difference in the world to me and I'm so happy my little gal can play without being intimidated by massive groups of dogs.\r \r Thanks, Fetch, for treating me like a human, not a credit card! Pros: friendly, clean, right size Cons: ? more

Dog Gone Best Doggy Daycare! 2/2/2010

Our dog Mazie loves her doggy daycare and so do we! The staff , and the owners Adam and Britt, at Fetch have been so welcoming and attentive from the very first day we came in. We visited a few other day care locations before deciding on Fetch, and it was such an easy decision to make- they have such a welcoming atmosphere, are very open to addressing any questions or concerns, and have a genuine concern for the well being of our dog. When we drop her off in the morning, they always greet her by name, and with a smile. They also inquire regularly to see what we are currently working with Mazie on so they can be consistent with her training while she is with them for the day. We wouldn't trust just anyone with our girl, they have earned it and it is well deserved! Pros: Friendly, caring, knowledgable and attentive staff Cons: None! more

Undeniably Excellent Daycare for Well-Loved Dogs! 1/12/2010

I took a long time finding just the right place for my pup Quinn - mostly because he my ""soul mate"" dog and I had to be sure that he received only the finest care. I've been taking Quinn to Fetch for 2 years, and he continues to come home VERY happy, wonderfully relaxed, and most importantly not at all stressed, or unhappy. The ownership at Fetch recently changed, and the new folks in charge (Adam and Britt) are fantastic! It never ceases to amaze me that even with their immense amount of work they always remain positive, upbeat, and incredibly focused on providing Quinn with the best care available. Adam and Britt are TRUE dog lovers, and their constant focus on the dog's happiness is inspiring. And Quinn LOVES them!!! It's so cute how excited he is to arrive at Fetch and how undeniably thrilled he is upon seeing Adam and Britt! And the rest of the staff as well! All of the folks that work at Fetch are right on, and I have only great things to report regarding their care and behavior with the dogs. Greg, in particular, has a wonderfully calming effect on the dogs - and the people as well! I feel so lucky to have found a daycare that not only keeps my dog safe, happy, and relaxed, but is also reasonably priced - and so clean! There is no question that Fetch Doggie Daycare will be around for a very very very long time, because they provide in spades what every dog lover/guardian demands; superior service and lots of love for their dogs. Pros: Superb customer service, Great dogs, Excellent facility more

Friendly, Clean, Caring, Knowlegeable 12/5/2009

I stumbled across Fetch in my desperate search to find a daycare for my staffordshire mix. All other places completely refused to even meet my dog, but when I called Fetch they were very friendly and explained each dog was a case-by-case basis on behavior, not breed. They were very helpful answering all my questions and had detailed paperwork for me to fill out on vaccines and emergency information which really helped me to feel safe with leaving my dog there. They were very nice even when I called to check on her 1000 times during the day. The space is large enough for different energy level dogs, and very clean; it even has a nice boutique with locally made items, not imported junk. My dog LOVES going to daycare, and she and I would recommend anyone to Fetch! Pros: Great for well behaved, socialized, mixed bully breeds! more

Nice facility, inconsistent service. 7/24/2009

Getting ready for a cross country trip to Portland, I found Fetch online and called them. One of the new owners (a young married couple) gave me a quote and seemed quite attentive, so I made a reservation. After travelling 3,000 miles, we boarded our two dogs there. I was given a multi page questionaire to fill out, and among other details, I warned them not to clip the dogs claws. When we picked up our dogs we were told that they had tried to clip the claws regardless, to bad effect. Also, the price I was quoted was doubled for the second dog, explained with ""oh, I forgot."" The new owners seem like nice young people but they don't know what they're doing. At LEAST they're good with animals --- but they need to pay attention more. Pros: Reservation available Cons: Fetch owners neglect instructions, added extra costs more

After a long search, we've chosen Fetch and we love it! 5/2/2008

My fiance and I are both extremely picky people and we consider our dogs our children, (for the time being!) I looked at three daycares in Portland and felt that Fetch was the best bet for our dogs. After receiving the email with the application we were pleased to see how much Fetch wanted to know about our dogs. It was a little time consuming to fill out, but that was only because I wanted to make sure to include all the particulars. We were able to meet with the owner for a consultation and she really took the time to go over our dogs application as well as our health history. She explained the importance of having our dogs vaccination history so that she could help keep the other dogs at daycare safe and healthy. I know that if she took the time to do this for our dogs then she sure must do this with other dogs. The last thing I would want is our dog getting sick at daycare because someone has chosen not to immunize there dog. Daycare is different then I expected it to be. I didn't realize that so much time was spent on making sure the dogs were playing with those that were at similar energy levels. One of our dogs loves to play with other labs, but is a little picky with other breeds. Fetch took this into consideration and will rotate dogs as needed. I truly feel as though our dogs are safe, well take care of, and I love the convience of the ""packages,"" for those that have multiple dogs. I would highly recommend Fetch for daycare as well as boarding. Pros: Attention to my dogs, customer service, cleanliness, report cards, ability to deal with overprotective dog parents, (me and my fiance.) Cons: Parking, but if you're just dropping off or picking up a dog it''s never been a problem. more

A real pain to deal with 4/18/2008

\r I wasted nearly 2 hours of my time trying to fill out forms and going for the interview and I still didn't have everything they needed because their instructions were so incompetent.\r \r Woman behind the desk basically didn't care -- too bad for me, but so what for her.\r \r These guys may have had their act together at one point, but I I would definitely check them out long and hard at this point in time. more

great customer service 7/2/2007

We have recently moved up to Portland, Oregon and were in search of a new doggie daycare and boarding facility. We had already tried Virginia Woof, and found that they seemed to be a bit overcrowded with bigger dogs (we have a pug and a boston terrier), so we went on the search for something else. I stumbled upon Fetch on citysearch, and decided to stop by and check out the facilities. \r \r We stopped in unannounced and they were very welcoming and willing to give us a full tour. We got to walk through the main play area, go back to the boarding facilities (they have only 6 large kennels), and through the grooming area. Everything was impeccably clean and the staff was incredibly friendly. They did a short little consultaion to see how they got along with some of the other dogs, and went ahead and booked the reservation.\r \r They encouraged me to check in if I wanted to see how the pups were doing (and I did, because i'm a nervous nellie). Our Boston Terrier is older and not very high energy, and they seperate some of the ""low energy"" dogs in a different play area so they're not harassed by the hyper pups. That way they can still be out and about and not in the kennels. \r \r We hada slight emergency because our flight was cancelled at the last minute, and they were very accomodating. Luckily there was a cancellation, and the dogs were able to stay through. They even let them stay together in the same kennel! The kennels are more than large enough for two big dogs. \r \r One of the things that was really great is that they are open 7 days a week. They have limited pickup and drop off hours on the weekends (7-9 am or 5-7 pm), but they still get time to get out and play when the staff comes.\r \r If you've got two dogs, the boarding rate is 50% off for the second dog. \r \r Polly and the rest of the staff were great and we will definitely be bringing them back there on our next trip! Pros: friendly staff, convenient hours, clean facility Cons: cost of daycare on weekends (reduced hours) , no discount for 2nd dog for daycare more

My dog loves it! 2/2/2007

My dog has attended two other local daycares and by far Fetch is the best! Fetch has an excellent ratio of dogs/people which puts me at ease in knowing that my dog has all the attention he needs. I love that all dogs are screened and those that aren't suitable for daycare are not welcome. Instead, those dogs can benefit from Fetch's dog walking service while my dog stays safe with his, "well behaved," friends. I love the level of communication between myself and the staff at Fetch. Often he comes home with a report card which is both entertaining as well as informative. The other daycares have only done this on my dogs first day, but Fetch does this fairly consistantly. I highly recommend Fetch to all dog owners. If daycare isn't right, then maybe the dog walking is! more

Best Doggy Daycare Ever! 2/1/2007

I adopted a Hurricane Katrina puppy, so you know he jad experienced some awful things. Fetch Doggy Daycare has been kind and caring, nurturing him along this past year, bringing both my pup and I comfort during the day when I can't be with him! more

The best doggie shop in town 1/30/2007

After viewing several places. This one is the most pro. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to see how these places should be done... clean, well put together Great trainers and easy location. cheers :) Pros: It just feels like the right place more

Your dog will thank you! 1/30/2007

Fetch is a great doggie daycare. After checking out multiple places, I settled on Fetch and have not been sorry. They are very friendly and caring toward the dogs. My dog gets excited when we pull into the turning lane! Dogs are separated into appropriate playgroups and monitored well. You can do a half or full day. There are packages available. So far we're very happy - my dog loves it and comes home tired and that's GREAT! more
