Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Tampa Westshore/Airport

I booked this one on-line and pre-paid. My main objective was something close to the airport. We stayed on the 7th floor. The windows go all the way to the floor and did not seem very secure. The coffee maker was not clean and there was debris on the bathroom floor. Deferred maintenance galore, which makes me question the value of this property. It does have view of Tampa Bay, but bring your binoculars because it is far off the water. The restaurant was closed the day we stayed there. The floor of the room was uneven and had indentations. The elevator doors opened hard and before getting to the destination floor. For the positive - seemed like a safe, clean neighborhood. Helpful staff. Handy airport shuttle. This Hilton has pretty good facilities for their guests. They have a nice pool, good room service, restaurant and their rooms are not bad. Their suite had a little bit to desire, the actual bedroom section of the suite was a little cramped but was compensated by the humongous living room area full with a 10 person conference table and the fact that it's located right next to the pool. Their meeting rooms are pretty spacious and the hotel staff treated us well by providing free drinks, coffee and all the technical help we needed to setup our lecture. It's also not too far from the main downtown areas. Overall, I would say I had a good experience here and would come back.
