Delgrosso's Amusement Park

My Family gathers in Altoona every year for our annual Family Reunion, at DelGrosso's Park, and we love it. The little kids enjoy going on the rides and us "big" kids enjoy going on the rides as well as going over to the Water Park on hot days. The family loves it, and it gives the kids a way to wear themselves out! Always fun! more

This is a sweet little amusement park. They have a large kiddy ride section for the little ones and a small selection of other rides for the older visitors. Across the street by way of an inclosed walkway you can go to the waterpark complete with water slides or to their mini golf course. It now has one of only a few crazy mouse roller coaster and it does offer some very tasty pizza made with their own pizza sauce(made right across the street) that you can not buy any where else, which does makes it stand out from other parks. Otherwise it is just pretty simple, no big thrill rides or shows. The prices seem high for all the more that is actually there, but it still can be fun. more

Delgrosso’s is a great amusement park with a small town feel. Bring a picnic lunch, which you can eat at one of the numerous picnic pavilions set at the back of the park in tree shaded spots, and plan to spend the day. Or plan on their famous pizzas which are reasonably priced and made with Delgrosso’s pizza sauce that is manufactured in the sauce plant across the road from the park! The park has many great rides for young and old alike, three huge water slides, and a water park that is a fantastic break from the heat with soaker showers and a bucket that douses and yet the water pool itself is only a dozen or so inches deep making it safe and fun for even little ones. There is a large, very nice miniature golf course and go cart tracks as well. The best deal is the pay one price and these are divided into which parts of the park you will be visiting that day. Also it is one of a few parks left that offer live pony rides. And check out the free live concerts with many famous names. Delgrosso’s is also one of the only small amusement parks that dismantles its rides over the winter and refurbish so the park always has a fresh well cared for look and feel. more

My toddler loved this amusement park when we where there last year. It is a very inexpensive park that has both rides and a pool with water slides. The park is very clean and all on level ground so pushing a stroller is easy. The prices of food and drink were also very reasonable. They offer an all day ride pass or you can buy tickets as you go. We plan on taking our son there again this year. Great experience. more

Adults and children alike will enjoy the old-fashioned fun at Delgrosso's Amusement Park. There are plenty of fun rides of little kids and a few thrill ones for adults. There is also a water park, which is expensive but a nice alternative on hot days. The park boasts fantastic food, especially the Murf's Potato Salad; I've made several trips to the park just to pick up a quart of this delicious food. The best part of the park is the woodsy area towards the back, where families or large groups can enjoy a picnic in a pavilion. In the fall there are several special weekends, including an arts and crafts fair and an Italian Festival. Older kids may be a bit bored with the small size of the park, but all in all it's a great family place. more

Delgrosso's Amusement Park offers the perfect solution to summertime boredom. With a great variety of adult and child rides there's never a dull moment. You can even bring your own picnic or sample the delicious Italian Del Grosso food at one of the many concession stands. Make a day of it and go visit. more

This is a nice little park. It has a kiddie ride section, a "big" ride section, a waterpark, water slides, a go-kart track and a mini-golf course. There are lots of trees and the park is kept clean. There is also a small arcade, several food places, and picnic areas. In the summer, there are often free concerts. On July 4th, they have Summer Thunder, which is an excellent fireworks show. more
