I visited the Dapper Dog website and read about the groomer's years of experience and emphasis on holistic care and thought at last I had found a good groomer for my dog. Although I read some negative reviews, I decided to go there anyway. I figured that someone who was in business for this long was bound to have a few unhappy customers . Now I am kicking myself for not heeding the advice of those concerned pet owners.\r

After filling out the paperwork, and without explanation, she demanded me to hand the dog to her rather than setting him on the counter. I'm sure there was an important reason for this, but I thought her demeanor surprising. While holding him, she pet the top of his head very hard pulling back the eyelids. This was also nerve racking since this is not to be done with this breed. \r

I left with a very uneasy feeling. When I returned at the time I was given, Julie very rudely told me that my dog wasn't ready and that I should have called. After asking when I should return, Julie continued to rudely focus on the fact that I didn't call. I was again very surprised by her reaction. It then became very clear to me that something was very wrong here. \r

At that point my dog had been washed and dried. I told her that I would go ahead and take him and skip the haircut. She walked to the back of the room, grabbed hold of my dog, and came back with him and pretty much tossed him on the counterop and stormed off mumbling ""I don't need this b*****t!"" \r

I cannot tell you how shocked I was by her behavior. As upset as I was when I left I am even more consumed with guilt for leaving my little dog in her care for those two hours which must have seemed like an eternity to him. A person who handles a dog the way she did has absollutely no business working with animals.\r

I have never felt compelled to write a negative review about any business, but I feel I must beg all of you not to take your pets here.
