great custmer service 8/16/2008

my mom used to talk about this place called the dump its offical name is the dairy king its been around since she was knee high to a grasshopper.she always used to talk about these fried chocolate pies . We always wished she had one so she would shut up. she thought they were long out of business, so one day we went driving around her child hood neihborhoodand much to her surprise they were still up and running and stronger than ever so we stopped by the bad thing was they were packed then the owner reconized my mom from a mile away. and she gave us free food and when i tasted their chocolate pies i found out what my mom was talking about they were amazing every thing was pretty much just good ole southren hospittailty it was everything my mom said it was and then some i recomend their banna spilt ,choclate pies, fries,(there hommade)and their golden burger now if your looking for good ole southren cooking you've come to the right place and if you aint southren and dont like southern cooking then why you looking at my review?oh and now i go there on a daily bases. thank you and goodnight.!!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: good god its just good!!!!!!!!!!! Cons: parking when its busy more

long line for a reason 4/24/2008

I drove by this place yesterday around lunch time and noticed the long line, so I went back today and found out why. It is a great lunch spot. The line moves quickly, the staff is nice, the food is good and the price is right. I got a cheeseburger, fries and drink for $4.50. I plan on going back in the next few days to try the meat and three. Pros: good food, quick service, great price Cons: parking when it's busy is tough more

Hot Lunch Spot, Best Milkshakes, Quick and Good! 3/7/2008

I always get the BBQ on cornbread..Its the best bbq for the fastest service. The staff is cool and they give you what you want and how you want it. Its real cheap u can go up to a window for quick to go or burgers or dine inside for a hot plate lunch (meat n three). I know the owners personally and I know they want to please customers. They are there everyday making sure of that too. It doesnt have the best appearance on the outside but the food makes up for it. Trust me. Its not a fancy 5 star but this is the South and if you dont like southern food why are you looking at this!? Pros: fast, good food, nice people, mini burgers! Cons: parking is a little carzy when its busy, outside appeal more

Great stop for a relaxing, homecooked meal or a quick ice cream fix 6/22/2007

There is *nothing* fancy about Dairy King. But, then, that's part of the appeal -- plain ol' homecooking comfort food and tasty dairy treats, served by the roadside. There are actually two buildings, the traditional dairy-freeze where you order at the window and sit at a picnic table on the covered patio and the ""dine-in"" building across the parking lot that's air conditioned and buffet-style. Either way, you can order pretty much the same food which is your traditional meat-and-three affair. Pros: Classic road-side ambience, milkshakes, generous portions, value Cons: Classic road-side ambience, bland food more
