What a bargain for a day at the spa! I went with a friend the other day and we had a blast! Jin Young, the owner, is super friendly and will explain all the treatments in English if it's your first time at a Korean spa. It's a no-frills, women-only spa like Olympic Spa, but it's a lot smaller and more intimate. There's one steam room, one sauna and two whirlpools. I indulged myself in the Daengki Special (akasuri scrub, facial and body massage, seaweed wrap, shampoo) and my skin felt soooo smooth for days. They're extremely thorough! We tried the special herbal treatment to steam and clean the feminine area (korean douche) also. You can't find this treatment anywhere else. I was a bit weirded out at first, but the staff made me feel comfortable and explained exactly how to use the special chair and shared info about the health benefits. You sweat A LOT for about 45 minutes, but I felt so refreshed and so clean afterwards. Extremely detoxifying.
Pros: thorough Korean scrub, bargain treatments, friendly & helpful staff
Cons: small facility
