Responding to the ckitter review; It is quite disheartening when people go online and write one sided stories and bully a small business. There are many other constructive ways to handle a situation rather than a cyber attack.\r On a positive note; \r We have been in business for almost 20 years and have many satisfied clients. We absolutely love what we do and have a talented staff of skilled designers with an absolutely gorgeous interactive showroom for our valued clients to select their tile, cabinets and stone from. \r We are also very involved in giving back to the community and use our showroom on a regular basis for non-profit organizations to host their functions. more

CTM's quality of work and HONESTY is very poor. Just some of the problems are listed below: \r \r - First and foremost, CTM tried to charge us for a slab of granite and labor (over $3,000.00) that was NOT installed in our home. \r - Asked to have old piece of granite buffed, resealed and re-caulked. The work was never done but attempted to charge us for it. \r -New slab of granite and backsplashes were installed. The caulking between the backsplash and granite was not done. \r -The sink was set but not sealed/caulked. \r -The caulking/glue used to adhere the back splashes to the wall bubbled out of the top of the backsplash causing damage to the paint and sheetrock upon removal. \r -Corner of backsplash was not flush with wall and was attempted to be filled in with black tar that was spread onto the wall. Paint and sheetrock were, yet again, damaged upon removal. \r -A straight edge razor blade was stuck in a 3""x 3"" piece of cardboard (with some type of caulking on it) and left on our kitchen floor after they were done working. Thankfully, we found it before our 3 year old did.\r -The counter was not level/straight so a large amount of caulking was used to fill in the ""space""- so much so, that when sitting at the bar you can look across and see the white caulking under the countertop.\r -There were a large number of ""fissure"" in the granite that you were able to stick your fingernail in and run along the fissure. \r -Estimate for 9 baseboard rounder's (which can be purchased for $2.50 each) was over $200.00.\r -and the list goes on...\r \r We spent countless hours negotiating with CTM about solving the problems. We did get some of the issues resolved but not without dishonesty, inconvenience, time wasted, and the pulling back of negotiations. more

Buyer Beware 10/20/2011

While I felt CTM Granite's quality of work was poor, you can decide for yourself - go to Yahoo Local and click on the photo tab. Many of these items were resolved by CTM backing out the cost in our contract and having us hire our own sub to finish the work, having their sub come back to correct the work, or in the case of the sheetrock patch work -- CTM said it was satisfactory (you can decide). Most disturbing was when the front of our dishwasher was damaged by one of their employees and CTM Granite took no responsibility saying there was no evidence their employee caused the damage. Luckily I had taken a video of all of the rooms in our house for our interior designer 1 hour prior to their employee arriving, which clearly showed the dishwasher front was not damaged. I want to say Erin, CTM Granite's showroom manager, was very professional throughout our project which made this project bearable. My advice --- if you hire CTM, you should require lien releases for all material and labor more

Buyer Beware! 10/19/2011

I want to say Erin, CTM Granite's showroom manager, was very professional throughout our project which made this project bearable. My advice --- if you hire CTM, you should require lien releases for all material and labor performed at your home, as CTM doesn't pay their subs until they receive your payment. This became apparent when their hardwood sub threatened to lien on our property and sue us prior to us making final payment to CTM Granite. What an eye opener!!! UPDATE: Mar 2012 - CTM was not pleased when I posted the above comment. In exchange for me removing my post & not posting future comments, CTM offered to waive our final balance due of $2,737.50. As you can see, my post remains. In hindsight, it makes me wonder how many other unsatisfied customers CTM successfully bought off in order to have the appearance of a good reputation. I recommend you check the BBB. more
