If You Have an Unjust Speeding Ticket Crowell Law Offices, and Attorney Byron Roope, are a High Value Proposition
In January 2012, I received a speeding ticket citation on Interstate 5, near Sacramento. I found myself in the powerless situation of a two person, California Highway Patrol, LIDAR Speed Trap. The sole purpose of this CHP effort was to generate ticket revenues, as this section of the freeway was straight and wide, with no safety, traffic, or congestion concerns, whatsoever.
I was driving a Corvette sports car and I was profiled out of a pack of about a dozen cars, even though I was driving the slowest in the group of vehicles. In fact I was driving in the right lane and many cars were passing me in the other three lanes of roadway, to my left.
I hired Crowell Law Offices immediately after receiving this ticket as I thought it was highly unjust and heavy handed. I was assigned to Byron Roope, Esquire to handle this case.
I cannot recommend Byron, and his services, enough. This was a very high value proposition for me. I paid a flat $500 for these professional services. My speeding ticket alone, would have cost over $300. In addition I would have had the opportunity cost of going to traffic school for a day. More importantly I would have had to worry about my driving record for the next 18 months.
Byron prepared discovery documents for the two Highway Patrolman to respond to. At one point Byron put the CHP in a defensive position by forcing them to modify my ticket to properly place both officers names on the citation. Byron always answered my telephone calls and he took the time necessary to carefully listen to me about my case.
In addition to his trial preparation time, Byron probably spent another sixteen hours of going to court time as my trial was postponed, and reset, several times. The judge in this matter ultimately dismissed my case in June 2012, and cleared my DMV record.
I cannot thank Byron enough. On top of being a competent attorney, with practical legal defense strategies, he knows many of the CHP officers involved and the traffic court judges, which is helpful. Finally, Byron is very much a gentleman, and treats his clients with the utmost of respect.
