Don't go here! I took my cat there because he had been losing some weight and was vomiting and had diarrhea. Their diagnosis was that he had cancer and they immediately wanted to start giving him chemo-therapy. They were quite insistent about starting it and discouraged me from having further testing done on him to confirm it was indeed cancer. I took him to another vet, along with his records from Creature Comforts, and found out he has irritable bowel disease, a far cry from cancer! The other vet said the tests they had done on my cat, did not confirm that he had cancer. A one-month course of Flagyl and a change in diet was all my cat needed to get healthy and keep his irritable bowel disease under control. If I had not gotten a second opinion, Creature Comforts would have put my cat through needless pain and stress and my pocketbook would have been several thousands of dollars lighter. I believe they take advantage of peoples' fears of losing their beloved pets to make thousands of dollars off of them for unnecessary treatments. more

I love Creature Comforts. The staff is outstanding and the vet is the best ever. Dr Karin goes out of her way to be helpful and accommodating to all her clients no matter what the situation is. She always has a smile and a kind word and expects the same of her staff! We travel about an hour to her clinic and we certainly don't mind that considering the care she gives to all our shiw dogs, pets and birds. Creature Comforts is far and away the best care you can find. The hour travel is well worth it. You won't be sorry you chose to go there. We highly recommend it and so do our happy healthy pets!!! Thank you Dr Karin and your staff for always being there more

This place should be SHUT DOWN! Dr. Karen is the most unprofessional, rude and poor excuse of a vet I have ever met. She screwed my dog up with 1 ""EMERGENCY"" ACL surgery last yr. Then almost convinced me he had to have his other leg done while she took out the screw floating around the first leg. I tried to gt her to talk to me about the surgery before I agreed and she FLIPPED OUT ON ME ON THE PHONE..screaming..then wouldn't come out to talk to me this morning when I went to see her. This Place is a nightmare!!!!!!!!! All she is interested in is $$$$$$..no compassion for people or pets..They need to take her license away!\r more

I am writing this review solely because I want to prevent another disaster and animal suffering or death caused by their inability to follow procedures and keep sanitary conditions for their patients. this place should be shut down and severely fined and all employees (not just the vets) should loose their license or ability to work with or near animal. As a medical professional of any level you have the responsibility to report unsanitary conditions especially if you well know that these practices have lead and continue leading animal to suffering and death, my dog contracted a severely resistant to antibiotics strain of e-coli post her surgeries there. She was released home with swollen legs and bleeding wounds which started to open up the next day to the point that I was seeing the metal plates they have implanted as well as her tendons (I am not exaggerating here being a medical assistant I am quite accustomed with wound care)!!! I found my dog in unsanitary conditions post double ACL surgery, and took her home as I knew I was more capable of caring for her than any of them! My dog was not even wearing an e-collar and was left to lick her wounds post-op! \r \r They are incompetent, uncaring and most of all negligent and this needs to be stopped!!! \r \r My dog has since been cared for at another facility and has undergone multiple surgeries and treatments and is still on antibiotics that I administer in form of injections 3 times a day. Its been over three months post surgery and she is not 100% and most likely will never be but at least she is still with us. \r \r I am calling everyone to action. Lets put a final stop to their un-humane practices!!! \r \r Please feel free to contact me via email: isia27@gmail.com\r \r Lets get together and do something about this!!! \r \r WRITE TO ME!!!! more

Beware!! My son took my dog there after getting hit by a car because they offered a payment plan. Bad move! After surgery that required a pin in his leg, he returned home and was followed up with my regular vet. For over 4 months he had a persistent infection in his leg that would not heal no matter how many antibiotics were given. Finally had to resort to amputation, where SURPRISE!, my vet found several sponges in his leg that had been left there by the Dr. at Creature Comforts. It was unfortunately too far along in the surgery to save his leg, so the amputation had to be continued. Dr. Karin refused to speak to me or my associate about the situation, and seems to want to put the blame on me. I am now seeking the full amount of money (over $4000) that it cost me due to their extreme negligence!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL THERE!!!! more

Stay Away! Certain death here! 7/24/2011

Our poor dog was misdiagnosed with cancer. While waiting for the biopsy results, the owner threw our dog out of the hospital because we wouldn't euthanize her. When the biopsy came back clean of cancer, they wanted to return her to the hospital and continue treatment. Unfortunately, our dog contracted an abdominal infection (having been denied hospital treatment) and we put her to sleep. Her primary care doctor is no longer there. I implore you, take your pet elsewhere. The doctors are not thorough and their vet tecchs are burdened with way too much responsibility. It is unethical. Our dog as well as ourselves were treated very poorly by the entire staff and they are one nasty bunch. It is like walking into a twilight zone. more
