Cracker Barrel ruined my Mother's Day 5/13/2012

My husband works at Cracker Barrel and not only does he not get discounts he does not get breaks either and never has even through 11 hour shifts. When he first started working there we ate there and I got a chicken dish that had 2 tiny peices of chicken and he ordered the ham biscuits which were burnt. We dont eat there anymore because my husband says there is mold growing on the walls in the dish area that he has scraped off multiple times that keeps growing back and other nasty things about in the areas where food is prepared that the managers and staff will do nothing about. He works there to pay the bills while he goes to school but we will never eat there again. I have an 8 month old daughter so this is my first mothers day. They told my husband that if he stayed late and worked his butt off all week they would let him off by 4 and it is now 7:35 and he is still not off. Better yet he has been working since 8 in the morning without a break. My friend also worked there (thats how my husband got the job) and they fired him for leaving and not consulting with a manger first even though he had worked past what he was scheduled. Cracker Barrel's busiest day of the year supposedly is Monther's Day but they ruined mine. Thank you Cracker Barrel for making my first Mother's Day a very lonely one. I cant wait till my husband graduates and gets a decent job (hopefully with this economy)!!!!!!!!! more

Down Home Not My Forte 3/11/2007

Very noisy and sometimes it gets so packed you have to wait forever. Its hard for the waitresses to get around the tables when its crowded and one of my friends had a waitresses drop a glass on her and it broke. I'm not much for the food that they serve, I can go without all of the grease and packed carbs in the biscuits. I think that the older crowd likes to go here, which I'm surprised they wouldn't complain about a $7.00 breakfast. The confusion is not worth the price. My best friend loves this place, so she would be the only reason I'd go back. Pros: They Sell Burt's Bees Chapstick in the Store - I love that Stuff Cons: Very Loud, Long Waits, Geriatric more
