I absolutely loved working with City Movers?! These guys are great! We have moved five times in the last four years, and used other movers in the past and they ripped us off and broke a few items we cared a lot about, some other local movers in the Portland area took care of the other three moves, but complained the entire time and were a big time bummer! City Movers? work quickly and efficiently, each guy introduced himself with a smile and a hand shake and they didn't complain at all.Thanks again City Movers?- you guys are awesome!? I had to call City Movers at the last minute never thinking they would be available to help me move. Sure enough, City Movers sent 3 very experienced movers out 2 days later.All I had to do was rent a 26 ft U-haul .After having some bad experiences with movers, I can honestly say that City Movers had a very professional approach to everything they did. They were careful but efficient. My movers Travis, Kenny and Anthony, covered the carpeting so they would not track any dirt in and out of the house. They all had great attitudes - they hardly took a break. City Movers did the job in less than half the time the first moving company I used did and by renting the truck I saved over 50% from my last move! So you better believe I tipped my movers well! This was definitely the easiest most pleasant move I have ever experienced and I have moved A LOT!! The guys from City Movers were so nice and professional. I was shocked when they were able to dismantle, wrap and pack up everything and load it in to the truck I rented in an hour flat! It was amazing, those guys were machines! I will definitely ( and have already) recommended the service to other people I know who are getting ready to move. If your moving in Portland I recommend City Movers because they offered exceptional service for nearly half the price of your competition. I was literally able to buy peace of mind!?? I am writing to let you know how unbelievable impressed I was with the move. Firstly, Travis was so positive and completely accommodating in his willingness to make this totally last minute move happen. He was friendly, polite and totally competent. Kenny was unbelievable. His attitude was nothing short of inspiring. The move was very complicated and under a time limit (because the storage locker facility was closing). Travis (and Kenny) were complete responsive and worked triple duty to get us out as soon as we could. Its really the positive attitude that I am so thankful for. Moving is so tough and to be around folks that not only know how to really bust their chops but do so with a positive attitude made the move so much better than I could have ever expected. I have much respect for City Movers! They really know move and get things done! I searched for movers in Portland and there price quote was the best bit I received for my last minute move! I moved this last weekend and I used City Movers! I have nothing but good things to report. I had a small move: transferring my not-too-big storage unit contents into a one bedroom apartment. I rented the u-haul and City Movers sent a two men crew ( Travis and Kenny) that came ready to work. They didn't waste a minute loading my things safely in to the truck from the storage unit and had everything in my apartment pretty fast. My only problematic item was a huge dresser made of heavy wood. This thing is a monster, but I will never get rid of it as it is truly one of a kind. They wrapped it nicely with blankets, protected the railing as they carried it over it with careful planning and team work. I'm definitely not planning on ever moving that thing on my own, so I was lucky to have the right guys around.?? To move it safely Thanks City Movers! City Movers in Portland completed a full house move for me last week. I rented the trucks and City Movers did the rest! I have plenty of antiques and other valuables in our four-bedroom home. The employees arrived on time, were mannerly, and completed a walkthrough of the home before beginning. All items were inspected and previous damage was noted or brought to my attention before wrapping and loading. The blanket pads and shrink wrap provided the extra protection I desired for my things. I rented two trucks and and hired six men on a Sunday move. This was the first time a moving company has suggested this and I was grateful for the sound approach. Before unloading, the entire crew walked through the new home and asked where things were going to be located. This was also appreciated as everyone was now on the same page. I was completely satisfied with the move. Nothing was damaged and the employees were very professional and courteous. City Movers came ready to move! They brought all of the equipment for a safe move and they were strong enought to keep moving through the day! So if your looking for movers in Portland, I reccomend City Movers! Pros: On time, ready to work! Cons: I did not use them before! more
