The Chicago Shakespeare Theater is an undiscovered gem for most theater goers in the city. As unlikely as it seems, this is a place to see great theatre, whether Shakespeare or some other fare. Went to a New Year's eve performance of a non-Shakespearean play and they served free champagne during intermission. This small theatre means that everyone gets a great seat, and the performances are great too. Who would have imagined Navy Pier as the setting for some great Shakespeare?
