I have taken my dogs and cats to Dr. Wilson and Dr. V. since 1993. My animals have all been treated with care and honesty no matter what their illness has been. I would recommend them to anyone. Shots, spay and neuter, and even end of life care....always treated well by the Doctors and staff. more

My dog went 6 years with Valley Fever and Dr. Wilson never caught it! On reviewing the x-rays, ""There seems to be a big mass here, not sure what it is, here's some steroids"". Now my 14 year old dog is on meds for the rest of his shortened life. GGrrr! Dr. Wilson, not really ever been happy with you anyway. He talks to you like you were in med. school with him. Hurry in, hurry out!\r Also, don't board your big dogs there, concrete room with no windows. Horrible place! They told me that they have a run that the dogs can use outside. Nope, they just use a leash and take them out back, no real pen. CT, you lied to me, that's why you had a problem with my wolfdog. If I was told the truth about the boarding facilities, I would have never boarded there! more

Horrible experience. Had to put my little beagle down. The vet didn't even give him morphine or anything first was going to put him down immediately without warning to us. He put the shot and my beagle who was so dehydrated from intestinal cancer kept crying out in pain. I asked if it was morphine and he said he doesn't do it. We have had to put two other animals down due to old age and illness and the vet was kind and relaxed them beforehand (AND prepared us). He said he could gas him but it would cost us extra and we had to hold the mask. We did this and then poked my beagle in the eye to see if he would blink to make sure he was out. He did this right in front of me. Then he immediately put him down before I could cuddle with him a little. It was heartbreaking and inhumane. I wanted my poor baby who had suffered to go to final rest in a peaceful and loving way. I was devastated and wanted to throw up. Heartbroken. more

No Idea Why All These Good Reviews 4/5/2011

I'm unsure of who writes the reviews for this business, but my only guess would be the people who work there or people who were paid to write good reviews. My experience with Dr. Wilson has been nothing but problematic. Much to the contrary of what everyone else writes here; I would say he's the complete opposite. He's not been helpful in the least. When I went in for my appointment he came in the room unprepared and had not looked over my animals medical history. I've talked to him on the phone a few times after that and every time we talked he had still not looked over the chart and to top it off he'd rather just pass it off to an internist to look than bother taking the time to do it himself. I also did not care for his ""I know better then you"" attitude. When I was there I felt like I was being talked down to, rushed through and all he cared about was profit and not about me or my animal. I also was lied to by the staff about having the other doctor (Dr. V.) return my call instead because I was unhappy with how Dr. Wilson was handling things. So overall, not a very pleasant experience and I don't plan on returning. They really need to learn better customer service skills and how to properly treat people. I hope this review will help to truly inform everyone of what it's really like there and not some biased reviews by friends/colleagues of his. more

EXCELLENT HOSPITAL 7/23/2010

Always accept walkins, even for new patients. Drs. get right down to business of treating your animal quickly and efficiently. Never have had a lengthy wait time, even as a walk in, and just for low cost vaccinations. Drs. explain all aspects of problems and treatment explicitly yet concisely, and cover all treatment options and costs upfront and very accurately. Even with an emergency surgery to repair broken bones, the price quote given to us immediately in the initial exam room by the Dr. was within $50 of the total cost. Prices are very competitive within the veterinary field here in Vegas, and care quality has been excellent. This clinic also offers a VERY reasonable price on vaccinations! It is interesting that the ""negative"" reviews about this clinic were published anonomously. This is an excellent clinic. Pros: Always take walkins and emergencies more

good boarding experiences- great vets 11/29/2008

I've been taking my animals, felines and canines, to this vet clinic for decades. Docs Wilson and Dr. V skillfully saved a dog from parvo and a shelter cat from distemper when another vet said put them down. Both animals lived long happy lives!!!! These docs never gave up because the ""patient's ""person"" is considered too! . Great personalities both- very caring and both are as patient as walls when you have a long list of questions. All pet surgeries were skillfully done and this involves generations of critters. I have also boarded there many times over the years- both cats and dogs with no ill effects except one instance of a little kennel cough, which the docs quickly treated with antibiotics for free.. These are honorable, honest vets who have earned their great reputation in the community. Pros: great Cons: not a one more

Great Doctor, nice office staff 7/28/2008

I think Dr. Wilson is one of the best Vets in town. I have taken my dog there since he was 6 weeks old. Dr. Wilson has given him every single shot he's ever had! The office was also able to get us in right away when my puppy got sick from eating rocks. Very close to my house, too. Pros: Very close to home Cons: None I can think of more

Great surgeon, no scars, easy to get fast appointment 8/6/2007

I've never boarded my animals, so can't speak to the other person's terrible review. \r \r But J.C. Wilson did the emergency surgery on my Springer when she sliced her scalp open on a sharp piece of farm equipment, from between her eyes, clear to the back of her head.\r \r Dr. Wilson managed to shave her in this delicate area without nicking her, her sutures were almost invisible, and she healed beautifully. No scars, can't even tell it ever happened.\r \r When I didn't want to leave her there overnight (because, like most vet offices that aren't hospitals, the staff leaves at night) he waited after hours for me to come and get her, and gave me lots of info about taking care of her.\r \r I also took her there to get spayed; again, beautiful work, and he had to put a cone on her head to keep her from biting her stitches, and he had rigged it to be one of the smallest and most comfortable cones I've ever had to put on a dog; she never even minded it.)\r \r I also took her there (she's accident prone!) when she got stung by some kind of insect and swelled up terribly -- I had no appointment and he got her right in.\r \r So, I've had nothing to complain about! I also like his calm manner.\r \r Pros: Skilled surgeon more

Avoid this place like the plague 5/9/2007

If you care about your animals, find a different place. I have boarded my dogs and cats here. My dogs came out fine, with only minor wounds on the tail, but both of my cats died here. Pros: Convienient Cons: Terrible at what they do more
