Career Concepts is truly the premier staffing agency in Erie county. When ever I have been in the job market over the course of my career, I immediately turned to Career Concepts. I like to think of them as my "personal connection" to the best companies in Erie. Their customer service is second to none and I've heard that they are one of the top 20 employers in Erie!! When I originally worked for Career Concepts they offered wonderful jobs with decent wages and were extremely professional. Unfortunately when the economy in Erie faltered, so did the economy at Career Concepts. There was even a short period of a day or so when they actually had their phones turned off!!!! Not something I want to find out about a company that is in charge of my career path!!!!! I've seen a huge change in personnel and staffing in the office and have found that they are very lax in returning calls, etc. unless they want to. I'm fortunate enough to have a lot of skills that are easily marketable in the Erie area but for a lot of people this area is tough enough to find a job in, without having an incompetent staff behind you. I wouldn't recommend this agency unless you see a very specific job listed by them that you know you would go for. There are a lot of other staffing organizations that seem to have more on the ball. When I finally spoke to someone from the business, after leaving many messages, they said that they didn't realize that was why i was calling - even though each message said that. They then gave me an email address to send my resume to - thinking they would help me find a job anyhow. I was told someone would call me back. They never did. more
