Worked with both Steve and Amanda L when we refinanced our home. They were very professional, answered our questions, and never pressured us, which we appreciated. The process was as quick and painless as they could make it for us. The only drawback (and this does not reflect on either of them) is that this refinance was more costly than other banks, but their rate was a little lower. I Refinanced my home last month and worked closely with Capitol first loans, I was able to get a lower intrest rate and work down to a 15 year fixed loan instead of my previous 20 year loan. Refinancing with Capital First Home Loans was a breeze. Steve Gerding was very responsive and followed up when he didn't hear from me. When he was not available, Lisa Hritz was. I did not run into any discrepancies between what Steve told me in the beginning and what actually happened in the end. Great rates! It was the smoothest mortgage process I have ever experienced. And having the closing at my house after work was a bonus. I would highly recommend Capital First. Pros: No hiccups in the process more

We worked with Amanda Linville to refinance our home. Our loan was a refinance of a first and second mortgage into a single payment. We followed rates for several weeks as we considered refinancing and Capital First Home Loans consistently had the best rate on 15 and 30 year loans. I commend Steve Gerding and the rest of hte CF staff for putting up with my mood swings during the whole process. I will say the process of puchasing a home can be stressfull to say the least. In our case, a second basement inspection was mandatory due to a minor drainage issue. I was a bit irritated at this point and Steve took care of finding another basement inspector and even met them at the house the day of inspection. That went above and beyond. Moreover, they set the expectations throughout the process and delivered at the end. Steve and the sfaff always seem to available if you need them. That type of service is becoming abosolete these days. Keep up the good work. Pros: great service Cons: would like a 0% interest rate :) more

I purchased my first home through Capital First this year. Steve Gerding was very helpful and explained everything in great detail. He also answered e-mails promptly with any questions that I had during the entire process. Lot of paperwork...but I guess that is normal. He was always positive and upbeat and upfront with me through the whole process. I've recommended them to my friends and family. Wish them continued success. I love my new home. I've been here for almost 6 months now. Pros: always helpful and available to answer questions more
