Cameron Park Zoo 3/19/2006

We LOVE this zoo!! We love zoos and this one is wonderful. Although small, the Cameron Park zoo is fairly new, well maintained and beautifully landscaped. This zoo is also expanding and adding new exhibits. In my opinion, great for all ages. My teens love this zoo as well as my 6 year old grandson. A tip though, visit during mild weather as summers in Central Texas can be quite hot and unbearable. more

I really think this is a good zoo for a city like Waco. Nice layout, clean and safe habitat's for the animals, and they have just opened a great central TX themed exhibit. It's rarely packed, so you can have the animals to yourself! Another great way to spend an afternoon either with or without children. more

Cameron Park Zoo 8/6/2005

This is one of the places that we go to just relax, walk around and enjoy the animals and wildlife that we see. They have the prettiest parks there and we just love the petting zoo. The kids always get a kick out of going here because they have the petting zoo and they have the little machines that you can put a quarter in to get food to feed the goats. They have a new Coral Reef saltwater aquarium that is just really nice to sit and watch all the fish. I would definitly recommend them for your family gatherings and just spending time together. more

Perfect place to explore with a 2 year old 7/26/2005

This small zoo is the perfect size for the toddler attention span. Just the time that they are beginning to get fussy, you're circling back towards the entrance. The animal habitats are pretty and well-kept, there are lots of places to stop and rest, and a very nice play area (although, this is not such a good spot for the little ones if you go on a weekend because there are a lots of older children running around). We've enjoyed ourselves thoroughly every time we visited. more

Small but nice zoo 6/16/2005

This zoo is on the smaller side, but is great because it is not busy. Three and under are free. Adults are not expensive either. The drinks and that are on the high side, but what zoo are they not high. The landscaping is beautiful. The animal exhibits are not crowded which is nice because you can actually enjoy the animals. They have a pond with a bunch of hugh catfish also that is cool. more
