everyone that works there is soooooo nice , EXCEPT FOR ONE MAN :) you will have the privilege of seeing his annoying arrogant face as soon as you walk into this establishment. this is the type of person you will be dealing with - he thought it was a good idea to get a HUGE studio picture of himself in a black button down shirt petting his black cat. real classy. whoever told you this was a good idea Dr weiner (couldn't think of a better name for you, thank you're parents for me) obviously does not like you . they can join the rest of the people that come into contact with you. every time i asked him a question he responded impatiently and defensively, "i know what im doing." it was the most confusing vet visit of my life. have i offended you?? why is this man so angry? and poor intern, she looked terrified. hopefully he will come to terms with his abilities as a veterinarian one day and let go of this highly annoying insecurity. ugh. as you mentioned during my vet visit, im no d more

My husband brought our dog to this man today and he was truly HORRIBLE. He presented us with a $500 estimate for our dog. When my husband was rightfully a little shocked, this was just for a check up, the Dr lectured him about not treating our animal right and told him that he needed x-rays, ekg, and bloodwork. \r We recently moved from Vermont and our Dog has always been up to date on all of his needs. When my husband questioned the pricing, the vet replied that "this is not the mountains any longer and I have an expensive rent!" \r Clearly this man is greedy and trying to push overly expensive tests to pay his rent. \r Do not see him or give him money! more

Dr. Weiner has been taking seeing my cat since he was 6 weeks old. He knows what he's talking about and he gives good advice when asked. I once changed vet to other Cat hospital in Brookline just because it was close to my work, but I returned to Dr. Weiner since he's trustworthy vet. Highly recommend. more

I took my beloved dog to Cambridge Veterinary Care because of the convenient location. I was greeted by warm, happy staff who made me and my dog feel comfortable. After a short wait, I was taken to see Dr. Weiner, who came across as very competent but not at all interested in my pet. He seemed very cold, as though he was interested in the science but not the animal himself. While this is not necessarily a bad quality for a vet, for me, it's not desirable. My dogs shots were administered and he was given a check up. Dr. Weiner wished me a good day and I headed out to the desk to pay the bill and take Sammy home. The bill was over $200 dollars, for a couple vaccines and a 5 minute exam. That is outrageous. I was expecting it to be around $120, which is what I was paying at my previous vet in my old neighborhood. I'll be returning to the old vet for future care. While I'm sure Dr. Weiner is a skilled provider, I'm not interested in paying an exorbitant amount of money for care that I can't rave about. more

I was taken aback by the negative reviews on Cambridge Veterinary Care. My recently deceased cat would not have lived 16 years if not for the care and attention she received at the hands of Dr Weiner. Two years ago cancer was discovered and the operation was a complete success. I knew Bianca had some decaying teeth and Dr. Weiner said he would extract them at the same time because "I don't want to put her under twice." When she went into kidney failure recently, Dr. Weiner visited her every night after hours and was there when she passed. I wish we humans were as lucky to receive such care from our doctors. more

If you love your animals you will not allow this horrid man to touch them! He is obviously greedy and is only concerned with how much money he can get from a patients owner. I also was shocked by the way he treats the young girls working there. I heard him use foul language directed at a young girl there! Obviously has severe mother issues. He is very arrogant as well as ignorant! more

The doctor is heartless and cold. He tried to talk me into what would cost the most money, not what was best for my pet. Isn't that like, illegal or something for doctors? At least I knew better to get a second opinion. I feel bad for the techs. He was ordering them around and they really were nice. I think they probably actually like animals, not like the doctor. I will never go back there and tell my fellow pet owners to stay away. more

when we took our dog to the pet care center we were happy to see that they were friendly and loved animals. they took good care of our dog. the overall care quality was very good. they explained everything to us and also answered all our questions. it was a very good experience and i will go back again. more

I was overall pleased with the service I received at Dr. Weiner's Pet Care Center. I was early for my appointment, and brought in promptly. I was in and out within 15 minutes. I like this vet for the central location, right on Huntington Avenue in the South End/Back Bay/Fenway area. more
