Terrible Experience, I can see how you would be frustrated, but only with yourself. The frustration you listed in the comment were all answered by yourself in the comment. To start, you stated your bangs were to long, in itself this isn't something you should be complaining about. Just before you state you asked the style stay the same you just wish to remove dead ends. I am no biologist but I am pretty confident in saying your hair didn't grow while you were sitting in the chair, so... That would mean he left your hair in the same style. And I think that means he followed directions completely. Koo dos to him. As well I think that pretty well sums up your question of professionalism. Next, if I go anywhere expecting to pay one thing and then get quoted another, I always bring it up at the time... Before paying. Who in there right mind just leaves without saying anything and then calls back later. Obviously this could have been explained to you before the mystical swipe.Overall, I feel no need to go any further commenting on your statement. It doesn't sound factual. I have been to this Spa many times and know this is never the service that is offered. As well I hope no one ever reads your article and chooses not to return to Blush. more

The salon is beautiful and the staff is very nice. However, I went in for a haircut and color with them and I had a terrible experience. When I arrived I had to wait over 20 minutes for my stylist to arrive and when he did, he didn't seem confident on cutting my hair. He asked how I wanted it cut and I asked for the style to remain the same, but to make sure my dead ends were cut off. When I looked in the mirror when he was done, my hair still seemed to have dead ends and my bangs were very long... still in my eyes. I asked him to trim it up and he asked me how... How??? I thought I was going to a professional to do my hair,not walk a novice through it. He colored my hair and to this day the colors are not even. To top it off when I was leaving, they charged me an additional $30 more than I was quoted to start with, without any notice. I ended up paying. Later I called the owner to let her know about my experience and she asked me to come back for a trim to get rid of my split ends and as a courtesy offer me a free manicure to make up for the fact that they over charged me. I did, I went back in for them to fix my hair, which was cut dry - and not even brushed before I left and they forgot to book the promised manicure - and they were booked- so no manicure. I finally asked for a refund for the $30 that was wrongly taken from me, and the owner said she had to ask her partner. She left a message to say no, that they would not give me the $ that was rightfully mine, to come AGAIN for a manicure. I don't know about anyone reading this, but after all of this, now I felt rediculous and would NEVER go back for anything. I called her back 2x to discuss the situation and she never returned my call. Its been 3 weeks now, so I guess its safe to say I will not be hearing from her. THIS WAS A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE FOR ME ALL AROUND. more

I was referred to Becca by a friend who had had a facial done by her. She explained that becca was a student and was still practicing. I decided to make an appointment. And I stayed open to the fact that she was still in training. From the moment I met her to the time I left I was very surprised at how professional and knowledgeable she was. Had I not been told otherwise I would have never guessed she was only an intern. Becca will be an asset to any salon she goes to when she graduates. more

I bought the Living Social voucher, excited at the chance to try a new salon for a great price. My first impression was good, the building was beautiful inside and just my taste. After the whole experience was over, I was left very disappointed in my munched out bangs and half ass color job. The bangs will grow back, they looked like I had let a 2 year old cut them. I had to go buy a box of color today to finish what they started. The stylist, Nick, only fixed my roots and didn't do a thing to the rest of my hair which was left a lot lighter. He also hardly said a word to me the whole time, which I thought was totally unprofessional and uncomfortable. It's really too bad, it looked like some of the other stylists were very friendly and doing a great job. It might be worth another try but I'd never go to Nick again... more

Blush Salon is great I love the atmosphere, Kara is the best at what she does I will not let anyone else touch my nails. Thanks Kara for always doing an amazing job on my nails. more

I absolutely loved Blush. I was taken care of as soon as I walked in. I went to Kristin and she did amazing. I bought a livingsocial and was a little skepitcal about going somewhere new. But she really made me feel comfortable and listened to exactly what I wanted. I will definitely be going back to Kristin for all my hair needs :) Thanks Blush!! more

I loved everything about Blush -- from being offered a beverage of my choice, to my stylist being hip and fun, to him asking a lot of questions about what I wanted, to his fabo customer service and conversation skills, to the visual delight that is Blush. Really, they should have named the salon ""Bliss."" Thanks, Nick, for doing a top notch job on my cut and color. I wish I could cart you along with me, so I had access to your services no matter what city or state I found myself in. ;-D more

I was nervous to go to a new salon. As soon as I walked in they took great care of me. I love my hair every time I go to Mandy. She is so good with color and really listens to what you want. She makes sure everything is how you want it and is willing to do whatever she can to make sure you are happy. I really like it that they offer you drinks while you are there. the atmosphere is very cozy. I won't go anywhere else :D more

Okay, first of all, I am very picky about my hair...I lost my long time stylist over 2 years ago and haven't found a suitable replacement since...until Nick. I am a natural blond that decided to go dark-dark brunette, for a year. The appeal has worn off and I wanted blond again. After going to The Follicle and getting my hair destroyed, I went to Nick. My hair looks and feels fabulous! He didn't do anything before talking to me first, and told me what he thought would be best...and it was! I am so happy with my hair for the first time in years!! Thank you Nick!! more

They wont listen to what you want. I bought a living Social coupon thinking I would try BLUSH because my usual stylist (Landis) was on vacation. I purchased the more expensive of the coupons, because I wanted a little more done. The stylist then told me it was going to be more because of this, because of that, I agreed on another $20 of work....not the extra $60. I told her exactly what I wanted and then she told me what she wanted , I said ""no, I know what I want and that is..."" She then showed me samples for a half an hour, telling me what she wanted to do...again I told her what I wanted and also a story about the last time a stylist did what they wanted and I didn't like it...""please do not do that"". Needless to say, she did what she wanted and now I have to get it done again. Don't get me wrong, she put a lot of work into what she did, she just wouldn't listen to me. To her credit, she was totally over worked, like to the point of delirium and talked non stop, the same thing over and over again, not relaxing...they had so many of those coupons customers the quality was bad. Don't go there, they wont listen to you. more

And so is Blush. It has all of the perks of an expensive salon, but without the attitude or cost. Give them a try and I'm sure you'll become a fan for life. more

The atmosphere of Blush is comfortable and friendly. Morgan was super fun and obvioulsy knew what she was doing. I felt completely at ease. I'm a serious introvert and find getting my hair done is generally an awkward experience but I was totally comfortable and happy with the service I got. Morgan made my flat, boring hair look superb! She gives the best scalp massage ever! I will never go to anyone else ever again. more

I agree with all of those who direct you to Phil for your services. He is knowledgeable and dedicated to making you look your best. His techniques are unique and work wonders on thick hair. Ask for the Keratin treatment that they are now offering at the salon. It makes your hair silky smooth. Phil is by far the very best. He makes this salon AMAZING. Philip is the only person I let cut my hair even when i am living in New York with amazing salons all over i still wait until I back home to get my hair done. He is very talented, professional, and honest. GO SEE PHILLIP you will not be disappointed! more
