We recently had the good fortune to celebrate our sons wedding and stayed at the Black Horse Lodge in Reading. It was a dream wedding, and the hotel stay was just as perfect. The staff treated us like family from day one during the planning phase. They were gracious, accommodating, and very professional. The manager, Sherrie Stetler, was warm and friendly, and made every effort to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We had approximately 100 out of town guests that stayed at the Black Horse, and they all thanked us afterwards for making the arrangements for them to stay at a great place with such a friendly staff. The location was perfect for all of our guests! The inn is just off the turnpike, and minutes from lots of places to do antique shopping, site seeing, as well as shopping at the Berkshire Mall. Sherrie made arrangements for us to hold a catered picnic for all of our guests at the covered outdoor pavilion, free of any additional charges. There was a playground for the children and a pool to cool everyone off from the summer heat. I want to publicly thank Sherrie and the staff at the Black Horse for making our weekend so relaxed and comfortable. I want to especially thank them for their tolerance of our rambunctious and exuberant guests, and for making efforts way above and beyond the call of duty to successfully recover lost valuables left behind by several of our guests. Thank you for making what was the best weekend of our life even more memorable and stress free by your many kindnesses. Well be back!
