Bennett's BBQ

Have you been to Bennetts lately? We stopped in there last weekend and the place was packed. The bar was croweded with a group of fun of people that all seemed to know each other and were having a great time. We stood in the bar and had a drink while we were waiting for a table. Some of the regulars started to chat with us and made us feel like we came down there at least once a week. We opted to stay in the bar area when a table opened up. The staff and regulars all seemed like one big family. The servers and manager were all very friendly, happy and really seemed to love being at work. We had a great time and did I mention the Q was some of the best I have eaten in a very long time. I will definitely be back and may even become a regular myself! agree with the previous reviwer. Who gave this place a high rating. very dry, over cooked food. This is not bbq. more

Not sure how this place got such a high rating. Dry, over done, over smoked, fatty and bitter (too much time in the smoker!). Terrible service, small portions and some of the worse BBQ I've ever had the displeasure of eating. This goes for my meal, my wifes and the three kids! The sides were pretty decent and the beer was cold. Pros: decent sides, cold beer Cons: , small, fatty protions, dry and bitter more

I tried a brisket sandwich at the Arvada Bennett's a few months ago. It was so fatty I had to disassemble the sandwich and remove the fat pockets to make it even edible. This week, our favorite bbq joint (Scoops in Evergreen, CO) was closed so we gave Bennett's another shot. We're not fans of Bennett's sauce, so we ordered a rack of dry spare ribs and put on our own sauce (Gates from KC). Awful Awful! The ribs were NOT tender, and were in fact quite dry. The meat had to be yanked with our teeth to get off the bone. I would not be surprised if the ribs were prepared many hours earlier in the day, if not the previous day, and reheated! Furthermore, the rub on the ribs was poor and had an undesirable aftertaste, even when smothered with Gates. A pitiful product for an established restaurant.
