Not for my pet! 1/29/2009

While Dr. Wilson himself is a very laid-back and congenial guy, he is absent-minded and you have to stay on top of what tests he says he wants to run or what products he suggest you buy as he often forgets to write it down or tell his staff. Moreover, his receptionist becomes defensive if you ask questions and try to own your pet's health care. She will make command decisions that often run contrary to what you want for your pet because she believes she knows better than you. If you are a laid back person who doesn't mind the receptionist owning your pets health and like a nice guy Dr who forgets to order tests, then this is the place for you. more

great vet! 10/26/2007

We adopted our cat from the humane society in 2005 and started taking her to the Banfield vet. We took her there multiple times and spent hundreds of dollars trying to get our kitty better due to worms and a respiratory illness. About six months after we got our cat, I came home on a Friday and she was super sick and obviously not feeling good. I called Banfield and explained the circumstances, they said we might be able to get her in to be seen in a week or two. Frantically, I figured out who the closest vet was to us in Beaverton, and it happened to be Allen Blvd Vet Clinic. I called them, explained the situation. They were so nice and fit us in right away. I was there in less than 10 minutes and the staff and vet were so kind and gentle to our sick cat and her frantic owner. He treated her to get her temperature down, gave her some medication, and told me what to expect over the next several days and what to watch out for. They even called and checked on her the next Monday to see how she was doing. This is the kind of service that wins customers for life. We have since moved to NE Portland, but I think it is well worth it to make the trip over to Beaverton for their high level of customer service and wonderful kindness to pets and pet owners. Pros: Kind staff and vet, treat people and pets very well! Cons: none... more

Great Vet! 9/27/2005

Dr. Nielson is always friendly and spends a lot of time explaining my dog's condition to me as well as the available treatments. He "connects" with peoples' pets and you can tell he really cares about his furry patients. I ran into him at the store one day (when I hadn't been into the clinic for months) and he knew who I was and asked how my dog was doing, even remembering his name. He is conciencious and friendly. more
