Fast Reliable Service 5/14/2012

Called Beauty & the Bamboo to have some bamboo removed from my backyard. Christopher and Chris who came out to take a look were wonderful. They had it pulled quickly and were educating me throughout the process. They showed me how the roots and rhizomes grew, talked me through how they dug it out, were professional with their service, cleaned up afterwards, etc. Definitely the place to go for your bamboo needs - whether planting or removal or anywhere in between. more

Wow!! The Best Bamboo I've ever seen! 4/6/2012

Beauty and the bamboo located just west of I-5 in Greenwood is fantastic. Stan (aka Stan the bamboo man) was a great help. They sell many diffrent kinds of Bamboo all of them look great and they have the best prices on everything in stock. (belive me I did my homework on that one) The staff on hand are also very Helpful and fun. They even helped me load my bamboo in my little car! Thank's again Beauty and the Bamboo. We will defenitally be back soon! Aloha! more

WHAT A GARDEN!!!!! Great Service too - A great place to buy Bamboo! 12/28/2011

Good: I liked so many things about this place. The Owner, Stan, was incredibly kjnowledgeable. He was patient and took his time, and made it fun to learn things about bamboo I never knew. As soon as you walk in the gate you feel like you've been transported to the forests of China. He has so many varieties, and he is excited - genuinely - to tell you about all of them!. Bad: There really wasnt anything I didnt like - I think he might be able to use some help though.. Improvements: Again, I dont know that there is anything that needs to be improved - but if he had some helpers to move those heavy pots around it might be good for him.. Other: Great nursery. Lots of grat plants, lots of knowledge, and the owner will make deals with you regardless of what the price tag says. I would strongly reccomend this nursery to anyone taht wants to buy and plant bamboo.. more

Great Bamboo Garden 12/28/2011

Beauty and the Bamboo is a great place to find some quality bamboo.. I have found the bamboo here very robust and healthy and always free of bugs.. Stan's ( the owner) knowledge is captivating and he always is willing to share his broad depth of understanding of the bamboo species with me and my family.. He helped us find the perfect bamboo for a hard to fit place in my garden and I have been delighted with the results... 5 stars UP on this place...!! more

Beauty And The Bamboo 4/22/2010

Owner was very helpful and the nursery was immaculate. However I had an issue with the principal and honesty of the plants purchased. I purchased several 7gal sized plants and went home and transplanted them into my garden. I was advised not to but I did it anyways which I am glad I did. To my surprise the propagated rhizomes were TINY compared to the size of pots that they were in. These plants should have fit into a 1 or 2 gallon pot tops. Instead I bought a tiny cutting and a whole lot of dirt in a very big pot. I believe that these were 1gal plants sold at a 7gal prices. I have purchased 5/7gal bamboo plants elsewhere and they were always root bound and established. I felt taken advantage of. more

Living in a Beautiful, Remote Garden 3/30/2010

Over the past 15 years Stan has supplied me five groves of various tyupes of bamboo, all of them healthy and beautiful. He regularly maintains them, provides fertilizer, and cleans out the dead wood and debris. Although I live in the city of Seattle, he has placed the groves in a way that they block out every house in the neighborhood. I feel like I live in a remote beautiful garden. Thanks Stan. Bamboo Solutions 7/11/2007

I love Beauty & the Bamboo. Stan is great. He will go out of his way to identify bamboo you have, source & locate specialty bamboos for you (or find a great substitute), and his pricing is very reasonable. Visit his gardens. Its really worth the trip. Along with bamboo, he has a smattering of specialty plants that are a rare treat. more

Stan's the Man When it Comes to Bamboo 8/6/2006

Highly recommend Stan if you're considering Bamboo for any landscaping project. He runs things out of his home to keep cost down. Knowledgeable, patient, friendly and easy to talk to. Dozens of varieties at all price points. We bought our pots from 1/2 Priced Pots and easily saved half on what we would have spent purchasing our plants and pots from a more established nursery. more
