This place is a poor excuse for a business much less an animal clinic. The staff is completely incompetent. They will schedule you an appointment with your pet's veterinarian only to call you the day before the appointment letting you know the vet is not available. Then they will lie to you about it with fabricated excuses. One time is understandable but every time is unacceptable. I got stuck with Dr. Resell once and he is a complete tool. He spends as little time with the animal as possible. I had zero confidence in him. I took my business elsewhere to the Lake Houston animal clinic in Huffman, TX. What a difference. They are professional and friendly. Most of all, they are competent (unlike Atascocita). The other advantage is they Charge half the price. Not only is the the Atascocita animal hospital incompetent, but they are price gouging crooks as well. more

I have known Dr. Resell since the 1980's and he has been my vet for my dogs and cats for all that time. He is wonderful, very caring for the animals and kind to the owners. He is compassionate and is the finest vet I have ever found. more

I have never been to a more professional and caring clinic than Atascocita Animal Hospital. Their staff is amazing! Always have a smile and a cheerful attitude. You can tell that it's not just a job for them. They truly love what they do. Their prices are in the norm; definitely the same price range as other area vets offices. I've never had anything but pleasant visits. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone I know! 2 thumbs up! more

Dr. Resell has always given the most amazing service. The new facility is the most state of the art animal hospital in our area and can make the difference in whether your dog makes it through a difficult time. We found this out personally when we arrived at closing time with an emergency. They stayed almost all night long nursing Smokey through. You can not find a more caring veterinarian. more

What went wrong with this vet ? A nice new building to pay for is what happened. I have used Dr. Resell for 6yrs. I first took my lab to him when he was in the strip center right down the road from the new building, and he was a great caring Dr. Since the move to the new building it's all about the money and unauthorized, and not needed test, and procedures. My last visit with my Jack Russell was 330.00 on test I didn't approve and was worthless. I cured the dog with a dose of benadryl at home. SAD! SAD!!!! more

I have been taking my 2 dogs and cat to see Dr. Resell for 5 years. I couldn't ask for a better vet clinic. Dr. Resell is always thorough at our visits and kind and caring to our animals. Dr. Resell takes the time with us that we need and always makes me feel like my animals are his favorite. Atascocita Animal Hospital is a beautiful hospital, starting from the moment you walk in to the lobby. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Resell and the staff at Atascocita Animal Hospital. more

I just love, love, love Dr. Resell. I have been taking my pets to him for over 10 years. However, I am going to have to look elsewhere for veterinary care as they charge an arm and a leg for services. It's almost as much as a car payment when you come out of there. I love my animals but can no longer afford these costly services. more

I have taken both my dog and cat to this vet for several years now. Today, I came in to drop off my dog for a tooth cleaning, was escorted to a room that reeked of cat urine, and waited there for over thirty minutes without anyone coming to check on me. I had both of my kids with me and we could wait no longer. I checked with the receptionist who told me I was to wait a little longer. There was only one family in the lobby and the place appeared to be quiet. All I was doing was dropping off. The blood work and pre-exam had been done the week prior. I had to end up leaving with my dog in hand (and kiddos too). I am just so disappointed and I am going to have to find a new vet. more

Shannon S. is a whiner ... We've been going to this clinic for over 12 years and have always had great service. The vets are always very caring and gentle with our 2 dogs .. both hyper JRT's that at times need muzzles ... it doesn't hurt the dogs and it protects the staff from fussy little fur balls. The staff has always been courteous and keen to satisfy our needs and those of our pets. I would recommend Atascocita Animal Hospital without reservations. more

I would not recommend this clinic. They took my dogs from the exam room to get a weight on them and I was not told fecal tests and heartworm tests would be done on my dogs. They did both without telling me or asking me while they had my dogs in the back. Neither of these tests were needed at this time. Therefore I had an unnecessary cost of 112.00 due to these test. When I stated the fecal did not have to be done the vet told me they have to do it to give vaccinations. I have dealt with many veterinarians over the years with pets and in working for them and I have NEVER had one say a fecal was necessary for vaccinations nor was one performed if the owner stated they didn't want it done. \r The staff had a hard time getting one of my dogs on the scale and asked me to come assist them. When I got to the back my dog was cowering to the floor and muzzled. This dog is very gentle and has NEVER had to be muzzled in the past. If the dog had been allowed to stay with me they wouldn't ha more
