The adult education center is a great place to take classes and expand your horizons. You can take them in a huge variety of different areas-- ranging from career-related to domestic/home stuff, to beauty/design, to languages! All for pretty cheap prices, especially compared to how much you would pay if you went to a specialty store or center. more

So inexpensive 9/23/2005

I had a really good experience in one of the foreign language classes there. They have a huge variety of courses. And as for price usually it's only a little bit more from people from outside the county. And the classes are a bargain to begin with. And if you're single --well, let's just say I have a friend who hooked up with a nice guy through one of these classes. more

great adult ed classes 8/20/2005

This place offers a variety of classes for adults which in Arlington, VA. The classes are very reasonable priced. Some last for a few months while others are single one-time classes. Topics range from foreign languages, arts & crafts, financial topics, cooking, computer/tech, ESL, how to buy a car, etc. If you don't live in Arlington, the classes are slightyl more expensive. If you're a senior citizen, the classes are even cheaper. The schedules are usually evening during the week. They're held throughout the Arlington area and are mostly metro accessible. more

Good in County Classes 8/15/2005

Arlington County Adult Education Program offers a wide verity of classes lead by knowledgeable instructors. The classes are mostly seminar style, except for art and exercise which are move active. One popular class topic is their cooking classes, Thai cooking is especially popular with classes filling up immediately after the course catalog is released. My experience with the Education Program is via taking a class titled "Getting Into the Import/Export Business." The instructor serves as a consultant to companies who are expanding internationally. The class was well organized with good information on the topic. The only downside was the title leads you to expect more content than the two course sessions offer. more
