This is such a pretty spot, right in the city of Seattle. I especially love the Arboretum in the spring, when all the trees are blooming. There are tons of trails to walk on and lots of plants for you to check out along the way. Don't miss the japanese garden - it's really breathtaking. Go in the early morning or evening and you'll have great light for pictures. more

Wonderful walks or runs! 4/9/2006

I love this place. It is gorgeous and they have some great little walk or run trails. This is a perfect place to walk your dog take a jog or just walk around and check out the plants. If you take a run you can get on some amazing trails through the arboretum under the 520 then end up on the water decks and back to the arboretum. I highly recommend this park if you like close by or haven't been here yet. more

Picnic in the Arboretum 4/7/2006

The cherry trees are just at prime. The grass MAY be dry-ish. The dog needs a walk.... (Scoop or the poop police will GET you.) The Japanese Garden over there is amazing too. Take a camera, and try your hand at some artful nature photography. more
