Apple Moving & Storage

Apple stayed true to their word when they promised and sold us on their moving crews and integrity. My parents used them for a move from Oklahoma to Georgia and raved about them and their office staff and how they handled all of their concerns prior to the move. We were very specific with what we needed and what we expected as far as pickup and delivery and they surpassed everything as promised. We have never written or posted reviews on ANYTHING, however, this was a special case and we felt the need for others to know and hear how great a company Apple Movers is. We also wanted to thank Randy at Apple Movers for all his help in making our move easy more

My boyfriend and I were moving from Edmond and Penn & Memorial, respectively, into what may be the cutest pink house in the Castro. The only issue was: it was a third floor walk-up, so we called Apple Moving Company. \r I initially spoke with Randy on the phone, who gave me an estimate over the phone and confirmation via email. We booked the movers around 10 days in advance, and had to opt for a Monday move-in vs. our original plan of Saturday, which is understandable based on the short lead-time. Randy quoted us 5to 7 hours with 3 movers, which was $96/hour-- which was to move two separate apartments into one. (Also, their minimum. Additional time is counted in 30 min. increments.) \r On moving day, our three-man crew consisted of Russell (who handled all the paperwork and was the ""main driver""), George and Anthony. Our starting window was from 8-10am, and after phoning me a little bit before 8am, they arrived at the first apartment at 8:30am. They took 2 hour to pack up my boyfriend's apartment and arrived at my place by 10:50am, and then the new apartment around 12:30. \r What the guys will do: disassemble bed frames (and any bulky items, such as our dinging table.) and will wrap/tape them up in blankets for protection, as well as re-assemble at your new apartment, provide mattress covers (for $7/each), provide wardrobe boxes for all of your clothes on hangers, and also provide any extra boxes for things you may have forgotten to pack. Note, they will make you empty the drawers on your desk and night stands and a few other item into boxes (I never did with previous moves) so that is where you may incur box charges. \r I will say that these guys work pretty quickly, and I did NOT envy them as they hauled these heavy boxes up three flights of stairs in our new apartment. Towards the end, it was mostly two guys doing the moving, while one re-assembled furniture. I had to unpack the wardrobe boxes (no problem) \r At the end of the move-in, not a thing was scratched, our furniture was assembled and we both had the energy to unpack for the remainder of the day. HOWEVER, in total, this whole thing took 6 hours. SIX HOURS. While I do not doubt the work of the three men, I was a bit disappointed that the quote was off a little from the original conversations I had with Randy. It was a very hot day to the men's credit. In the end, we paid $800+tip to the hard-working crew. \r I hope I don't have to move anytime soon, but, for those who are looking for movers, I'd say give Apple a call as they will handle your move very well.\r more

Apple Movers has the right kind of business model - where the crew that moves you has their own business reputation to protect as much as the branded company themselves do. From the initial reservation to the actual move itself, there is nothing I might add as an improvement suggestion over what was provided me during my move. They exceeded expectations, were right on time, were well prepared and prioritized what to move in the proper sequence - treated me as though I was their only customer. I really got my monies' worth and will continue to recommend and use them for any moves in the future. THANK YOU!!\r more

Great service! I had to move between Norman to Yukon. I was extremely impressed because I procrastinate, I had 3/4 of my items packed by the time they showed up. However, they were able to help me load my items WAY fast, and had everything done in less time than I had expected if I had already had all of my stuff packed. AMAZING. And super cost efficient and friendly, I would recommend to anyone. more

I used these guys APPLE MOVERS to move me from one apartment to another about a week ago. This should have been fairly straight forward move from one 1 BR to another 1 BR so I chose the option to pay hourly. The movers that were supposed to follow me to the location did not show up for an hour after I got there. Turns out they went to get something to eat and did not bother to tell me....and they tried to charge me for the time at the end. Even after I got that time removed from the bill the final amount was more than 40% higher than the estimate I was given. On top of all that. My kitchen table got scratched up and a dresser drawer was broken. I will never use these guys again. more

Terrific \r Apple Movers is simply a great moving company. I got their number from a friend and called. The staff was very attentive and responsive too. They offered me a very reasonable deal. I booked them for the move and keeping my fingers crossed. When they came on time and began the work, I knew that they were going to rock. They did ! Took no time to complete the entire move and managed to provide me everything that I asked for. I was actually amazed to receive such a great service.\r more

Great Company !!! \r Great company overall for your moving needs. I have moved across the U.S. and through 5 different cities over the last 15 years. Apple Movers has been the best moving experience so far.\r They were quick to get things rolling, had a courteous staff for both the meeting and the move. They packed everything with care, disassembled and reassembled everything well. Simply the Best We recently made an out of state move and used Apple Movers. They came when they said they would, the men were friendly and professional, they loaded the truck and delivered our furniture when they said they would, totally free of any mishaps. The furniture was delivered on the morning they said it would be delivered and we paid the price agreed upon from the beginning, no surprises whatsoever. We had made several moves prior to this one, and were never satisfied. Something always went wrong. This was simply the best move we ever made. Thank you Apple Movers for our stress free move. These guys are so awesome! First of all, the price was a lot cheaper than competitors. They originally were supposed to have two trucks to move all of our belongings in one day, but they did it with one truck and so quickly! The other companies I called said they would take two days to move everything. We also had to take our stuff to two different locations(one to rental and one to storage). They took every single item to the right locations with no problems. All of the movers were so polite and helpful. I also have a baby grand piano that they moved for us. Most companies won't move a piano, but these guys saved me a few hundred by taking the piano with the rest of our belongings. We are in a rental until our new home is finished being built and we are definitely planning on using them again!! more

I was so relieved to see that these guys were on time being that I had to be out of my apartment at 2:30p.m. sharp. My elevator was only reserved from 11:00a.m. to 2:30p.m. I was very concerned that maybe they would not be able to get it all done in that amount of time, but Philip told me on the phone that it was recommended that our movers show up an hour before hand and help get everything into place as well as wrapping up our furniture that way we can use the elevator to its potential. I'm also very happy that there wasn't one scratch on any piece. I'm so glad I found this company and the reviews on here were spot on. Which is why I decided to contribute to it as well. I knew moving is stressful and handling everything alone will not be a easy.\r Without spending time in thinking if it will be possible for me to do it myself. I started searching for a full service moving company. I came across this moving company. While checking the sites I found that this company is actually like a directory. I mean you they can give you all type of moving services. I directly called them and told them everything. they assigned a mover to carry out my move.\r \r The moving agent did not made me wait instead they were 7 minutes early according to my time. I liked watching them pack my stuff. The way they packed the stuff made me feel that ""Oh its so easy and anyone can do it"". I gave it a try. But then REALIZED that packing requires good practice and skill.\r \r The move went well.\r You should definitely consider using this moving company for your next move! more

This was one of the best experiences we've ever had with a moving company. They showed up on time, were very friendly and polite, they protected all of the floors and door ways and were some of the hardest working guys I've ever seen. We hired 3 people since we lived at the bottom of about 3 flights of stairs with no elevator. They were a lot quicker than we expected them to be. I've had bad experiences in the past with moving companies - charging per step from the truck to the door, purposely over-using packing materials so they can charge more for them, charging mileage from place to place, charging for more time than it actually took. 1st Dallas Movers did none of these things and they were a pleasure to work with. I would absolutely use this company again and I'd recommend them to anyone moving. I can't say enough good things about them! Thanks guys! more

the moving crew that was sent to my house to pack and load/transfer my items were the best bunch of movers i have ever had and i've moved half a dozen times both locally and long distance. i moved with north american, graebel and some local movers and this experience was the most professional. 3 days from pick up to delivery and the price was less than quoted. would recommend apple movers more
