Anytime Fitness

It's an ok gym. I like the fact it's open 24/7. I usually go in the AM and it's not busy at all. It's needs a real locker room. I workout before work and sometimes have to change in the tiny bathroom, shower stall thing, it's kind of weird. Also they don't have enough weights. If there is another person or two in the weight room it's easy to run out of weights if you wanna lift heavy. Pros: decent equip, open 24/7, not really busy Cons: needs more weights and equip, locker room more

I am warning everyone now to stay away from Anytime Fitness - they are a horrible gym facility. I am going to list the reasons: 1. Machines are broken all the time - almost always there is at least 1 broken treadmill and most of the others make weird noises. 2. Expensive! ($29.99 a month) compared to other gyms around that offer more features and a lot less expensive. 3. HORRIBLE BILLING COMPANY! They use ABC Financial as their billing company which is famously known for horrible billing nightmares. They billed my card successfully for 3 months and then all of a sudden they could not bill it anymore and decided not to notify me until 3 months after this when late fees had accrued...so then I spend 2 days basically on the phone with ABC Financial trying to figure it out and they assure me that there would be no late fees...but of course next month rolls around and guess what!!! LATE FEES - YAY! So, then begins a whole new conversation with ABC Financial on the phone to get that resolved. 4. Front Desk Help = Non-existent and incompetent. Just there to make money - let me give you a hint. The guy that works there AT THE FRONT DESK drives a brand new Range Rover...must make good money ripping members off with this horrible fitness company. Some of you may read this and think I am just some unhappy or angry member trying to get back at Anytime Fitness...and thats fine. Go ahead and sign that glorious contract and go through the misery of what so many others members including myself are stuck with until their contract ends. Pure Nightmare! This is the best gym ever! The staff is always cleaning the place and the equipment is the nicest I have seen. Also its 24/7 and you can use other Anytime's across the country!!! I was in Wisconsin and used one by my family's house with no problems what so ever:) Most members are always nice at this gym as well. I have been a member at other local gyms and people are rude and run you over to get on a machine or piece of cardio. Anyways I have lost 34 pounds here and couldn't be happier. I joined this gym about a year ago. First off it is very convenient with it being open 24 hours. All I have to do is use my key card to get in and out. I feel very safe when I am there. There are cameras everywhere and even have a safety panic button by the restrooms and on a necklace, so I can carry it around with me when I am working out. The staff has always been very helpful and friendly. They are not there obviously for 24 hours, but if I have questions for them on off-hours I simply call and leave a message or send an email. I have had 3 friends come in to work in as guests for a week. They are all members now after trying the gym out and since I referred them, I get 3 months free. The equipment is nice and so easy to use. I LOVE that there are TVs on all the cardio pieces. It makes working out so much easier. I also recently started working with a trainer at the gym. Since the gym is open 24 hours...you don't have the crowdedness of a Golds, etc. I felt really comfortable working out in that open atmosphere where I didn't have every guy in the gym starring at me. I've been going here for a while, and I LOVE this gym! I don't have to wait for equipment, and the 24-7 concept is perfect for a busy schedule. Pros: Low Monthly Fee, Good Equipment, 24-7 hours more

Not an exaggeration. I joined this gym shortly after they opened up back in 06. Very early on I made recommendations and voiced concerns, they did make short term fixes but all in all NOTHING changed. Examples, I know for the most part it is hard to staff in the "off" hours but 1 time a week, maybe every other week, heck once a month show some prescence to the members that may not have the luxury to go during normal hourse to answer question let the members know whats going one. Cleanliness, this is a joke. Carpets I dont think have ever been cleaned you can see stains all over the place. Mens bathroom. There are numerous times where toilet paper has run out. The current shower curtain is the original when i started back in June 06. The mat outside shower I dont think as been picked up or cleaned in over a year. There is so much dirt and grim underneath I'm afraid its going to leap over my shower shoes. Manintenance. I dont think they know what the word is. A little preventative maintenance goes a long way. Heck your car can only go so far without gas or an oil change. I know this is alot but hopefully reads this and either goes in, in person to address these things before signing up or does not sign up at all. As to why I continue to go, I'm just a few months from moving to AZ and this is the most convenient gym to my work. HAVE FUN!!!!! Pros: None Cons: Everything mentioned in desc, more
