RENAL CELL CARCINOMA 2/13/2008

I recently have been diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma Stage 2. I was healthy enough to withstand the surgery of losing a kidney. I must say that this Renal Cell Carcinoma was only found by chance. Only when I decided to go in to the doctor one morning to get my yearly physical. I got the results by just getting an imaging test. A simple CT Scan. This test took pictures of the inside of the body . I had no reason to take this test. Their were no noticeable signs or symptoms of RCC. It was the normal fatigue from the everyday job an increase in the appetite and a urine test from the doctor (microscopic) bloodin the urine. This is the only way it was detected. Early awarness is the key element in this diagnosis.\r \r An estimated 31,590 new cases of kidney cancer will be diagnosed in men and 19,600 in women as mentioned in American Cancer Society (ACS).
