I bought a mattress 2 years ago from a large well known department type store, thinking that I would have a better chance at getting 'good' quality. It was very expensive but I still wasn't sleeping well. I stopped at Al's Sleep City just because I saw it on my way to somewhere else and it is convenient to get to, right off of Rt. 309 a few miles above the Mall. This is a cute store that specializes only in mattresses and sleep accessories. The salesman was friendly and NO PRESSURE! He took the time to explain the advantages AND the disadvantages of each type of product, and had me try out several of them so I could feel the differences. There was NO PRESSURE to buy anything. Under these circumstances it was easy to chose the mattress that I wanted. Plus, they deliver for FREE and remove the old mattress! What more could I ask? I was done and out of there AND I actually feel GOOD in the morning when I get up. It was one of my best shopping experiences. Thanks Al!
Pros: Not a huge store, friendly friendly helpful service, local owner easy to reach, good prices, did I mention friendly?
Cons: Not a huge store if you really prefer the confusion of too many selections
