Best

The vet was great and really cared for my dog. Once she was diagnosed she immediately recommended she be hospitalized for the night and had me follow back-up with more bloodwork. ...

Worst

I candidly would give Zero stars if I could. Decided to give this clinic another chance which has shown to be very poor judgment by me. IF YOU LOVE AND VALUE YOUR ANIMAL, DO NOT ...

very knowledgable and caring 4/25/2011

The front desk staff were very knowledgable and caring. When I went in the exam room the doctor came in after a short wait. She took a lot of time looking at my dog, discussing her previous history and suggesting a switch in her diet because she was overweight. Not only did she recommend a new diet but she took the time to educate me on potential problems my dog could have if she remained overwieght. I was impressed with the car that I received. IF you are looking for an animal hospital to try I would recommend you try All About Animals. more

My dog would not be here today if it wasn't for Dr. Hughes 4/20/2011

I brought my dog to All About Animals, he had been hit by a car. I was afraid that he was not going to survive. The office was very busy, however, Dr. Hughes was able to see my dog as an emergency and she performed emergency surgery. The girls at the desk were wonderful, they kept me posted as to how my dog was doing and kept the other clients in the office happy, explaining to them about the emergency. My dog would not be here today if it wasn't for Dr. Hughes. more

Everyone goes out of their way to assist you 4/19/2011

Finally a veterinary service that is both pet and people friendly. My experiences at All About Animals have been outstanding. They are the nicest, friendliest people I have encountered in a long time. There is no question or problem they can't solve. They are always available to help your pet. The professional attitude is comforting. My two boxers are not afraid to go there. They are welcome with open arms. All the employees seem eager and anxious to help. Everyone goes out of their way to assist you. more

Thank you Dr Hughes for my dog back! 4/15/2011

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Elizabeth Hughes. My dog had to have surgery in his private area that was very complicated and not treated correctly at another hospital. It has been more than a few months now and my dog is completely healed, running, jumping and back to his old self. We thought we were going to have to put him down. She and her staff are very dedicated to the animals, and it is obvious when you walk in the hospital. Thank you Dr Hughes for my dog back! more

Sincerely thankful for Dr. Hughes' passion 3/24/2011

I have been a client of Dr. Elizabeth Hughes for nearly 20 years. We show and breed several breeds of dogs. We started with her when she worked in Tampa and followed her to Seffner which is closer to our ranch. Her ability to diagnose and treat keeps us going back. The office is busy but she always fits you in. One of my retired show dogs had a rare case of bone cancer on his rear leg. Even after a cancer specialist would not treat my dog because he said the cancer was terminal it was Dr. Hughes that was willing to amputate his leg and try to save his life. That was 3 years ago and his is wagging his tale with gratitude. Sincerely thankful for the passion show at All About Animals and Dr. Hughes. more

Truely angels 1/10/2011

There is no one better?? Tonight we lost our beloved Aphrodite. Aphrodite was a 197+ pound brindle English Mastiff. We got her from one of the top breeders in the country back in 2003 along with our beautiful male Mastiff Zeus. We lost Zeus to cancer three years ago. Aphrodite developed a sudden case of Pyometra almost two weeks ago and needed a very expensive emergency surgery to save her life. Anesthesia on a big dog is always a crap shoot. Dr.Liz saved our girl but we had to take her to another ICU clinic for ""overnight"" observation. The ICU clinic took one look at the folks with the expensive dog and saw dollar signs walking through the door. Within 20 min they were telling us how unstable our dog was and that it was going to take ""the gold star treatment to save her"". During a four hour period they shoved bolus fluids totaling almost seven liters into her helpless body diluting her bllod and electrolights to almost nothing. They took out a brand new IV cath that Dr. Hughs ha d JUST PLACED telling me ""it's not sterile"". I won't even go into the abuse they heaped on her during the night while we were gone. They wanted to keep her for more treatment but being a professional ""human nurse"" I smelled a rat. We rushed her back to Dr. Hughs who immediately wanted to know ""what happened"". She sent over a stable dog who only needed to come out of anesthesia and got back one nearly dead from veterinary malpractice. For the past week she and her staff kept Aphrodite at all about animals tending to her day and night. Her techs and office staff came in 24 hrs a day tending to her, running every test in the book trying to save her. Twice we decided to put her to sleep but Dr.Liz pleaded to give her more time. We of course saw our beloved girl suffering as well as a huge bill building up. While we owned two Mastiffs we are a long way from well off. Finally tonight after trying everything to save her all involved decided it was best to end her suffering. My wife Cherie and I learned tonight how much Dr.Hughes and all of her staff had fallen in love with Aphrodite. Everyone there went totally to pieces. It was as though a member of their families had died. Then we got the dreaded bill. There was almost no bill. Dr.Hughs had paid for most of Aphrodite's very expensive treatment out of her own till. So maybe the place isn't fancy and the building luxurious. I can see why. I know how much they charge compared to other vets and it's a fraction. The people at All About Animals are truely angels if angels exist. I'm a gruff old combat wounded Vietnam vet. But these people have restored my faith in human beings. On the other hand, I will have my revenge against the other clinic in Brandon Fl. I will see to it that every dog lover in the country knows about their theivery and abuse. I would walk through a forest fire in a gasoline soaked suit for Dr.Hughes and her staff. You need have no fear for your beloved pet at her clinic. more
