I moved across the state of Iowa and the guys did a great job of loading and unloading. They were very nice, considerate of my belongings. Definitely will use them if I ever move again. Just fantastic team, and great communication. more

DO NOT EVEN BOTHER. They said they scheduled me and didnt. Then tried to upcharge me when THEY didnt do their part to update my inventory or even schedule my move. THE ADAUCITY of this company. BILL argued with me over the phone, EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY. more

This company is composed of a bunch of unprofessional people, including their manager Bill as well as their workers. They broke my bed and assured me that they will either fix it or replace it. They did neither of them and left me on the floor for so many days. Eventually, I ended up getting a bed frame as an alternative and had them come back and arrange it for me. They never even paid the money that I was supposed to get after sending the claim form. I got tired of reaching out to them but they won't get tired of telling lies. I would recommend paying a little more and hiring better professionals. more

Vernan and Ralph were the best movers I've ever hired! They were fast and efficient with the entire process. They were careful with all of my items and respectful. If you want good service request these two fine young gentlemen! So happy with my move! more

I love Aardvark Moving Co.! My first time hiring them was ten years ago. This time, it was three young men, one was the manager but he said he liked to get out with the guys. I had antiques well over one-hundred years old and they took such good care of it, like it was their own. They're extremely polite, make sure everything is clean. I also have an antique buffet with stuff on it. One of the guys told me he was here to help me and took good care of my stuff. I have no quell about recommending them and have already done so. Very conscientious! Awesome company! more

Our experience with Aardvark was very poor. The manager in the office was very kind but the movers were rude and in a big hurry. When I called in and informed the manager of $@!#% issue, I requested that he not address it with the workers until they'd left. We did not want to deal with bad attitudes. No sooner than they came back in the house they informed me they knew I'd complained about them. We had numerous broken pieces of furniture along with dents in appliances. I would not recommend them and will not use them again. more

The movers poked two large holes in my wall and scratched up a couch, plus they broke a TV cabinet and smashed several boxes. Turns out they aren't liable for damage to any boxes or pressed-wood furniture! Tried to at least get the wall fixed and got nothing but run-around for 3 weeks...still trying... more

We hired Aardvark on the fly , our original company we booked a month prior (All my Sons) called a few days before and said they could not do our move because the crew was sick. I called and spoke with Tara who was able to schedule me, I booked for 1300 less than what I was paying for All My Sons, which was awesome. On move day the crew showed up and did a walk through and did add a ton of inventory that I was sure was told to Tara when we spoke, which caused my price to jump 1000 more dollars but I was in a jam and went ahead and let them stay. I was so happy with the level a care the 2 movers had given to my furniture, everything was wrapped in a blanket and a rubber band put around to make sure the blanket was secure before it left my house and on to the truck, the way the truck was packed was nothing short of amazing everything look so cool the way it was placed , I wish I would have taken a picture. The two movers were very professional they helped me pack boxes and one movers even gave my English Bulldog water on the unload because he was concerned with how hot was. Although the company price jumped I was so happy with the service I received from the 2 movers it was well worth it. Nothing got damaged after driving 1000 miles, my mother antique hutch which was damaged by 3 other movers before had nothing done to it , in fact Josh one of the movers fixed a piece the last movers broke on it. I can't say enough about the two men other than if your moving with Aardvark I would request that crew. I only remember Josh but the mover numbers on the contract say 2 and 3. more

The They rampaged through the house like a herd of rhinoceros. My wood furniture has gouges out of it. more

I recently used Aardvark moving because of referral from a friend. I was hesitant to use movers due to a previous experience from those “2guys". I'm glad I did. The staff was friendly and professional. Pricing affordable. And most importantly... No missing or broken furniture! Thanks you guys. more

My boyfriend and I had each one of our apartments moved into our new duplex in 2 hours. They are extremely fast, very affordable and excellent communication. They made my move very easy. Best moving company in KC. I suggest you don't waste your time with hourly movers and pick Aardvark! more

READ THIS. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They showed up on time and loaded everything up but they were in such a rush doing it they left without even closing the trucks back doors. My neighbor ended up running down the street to catch them and let them know. When they got to our new house and started unloading I started seeing problems. They broke the corner off of one of my garage cabinets that can’t be repaired. Later as our coffee table comes in it has dents and scratches all over the top of it. And finally our bedroom dresser ended up with two large scratches and a dent and when I pointed it out they laughed about it and said “what is that number three”. They were extremely unprofessional and didn’t even apologize they just said insurance will take care of it. Now the really bad service starts. I get a hold of Christina in the office and she tells me to fill out this report for the claim which I did. I emailed it in and hear nothing back at all. Finally I get in touch with her again and she tells me I need weights for the furniture in my report. I don’t know about any of you but I don’t have a furniture scale in my garage. Then she tells me I need an inspection and estimate from a furniture repair company. She recommended Furniture Medic’s who ended up providing a report. During the time I waited for this report I get a settlement letter from them for $177. I called and complained saying this was ridiculous and that to be honest the main thing I really cared about getting repaired was the bedroom dresser and the rest was not big deal. I thought that was very generous of me. She told me to send in the report when I got it and she would see what they could do. I email the report which showed over $1500 in damages ($651 for the dresser). Within 10 minutes I get an email back saying the original offer is all they will pay and that was it. Again there was no apology. There standard insurance only covers 60 cents per pound of damages up to 100 pounds each item. They never tell you this up front or on their quote. There quote gives you a minimum valuation but this is very deceitful. That number is only the maximum amount they will pay based on the 60 cents per pound. Mine said $1784 so I didn’t buy any extra insurance since they said it covered that amount in their price. The only place it talks about this is on the back of the paper they have you sign saying they delivered everything on your list. DON’T SIGN IT IF YOU HAVE DAMAGES AND DON’T PAY UNTIL YOU SETTLE. Spend a little extra with someone else. These people are low end, rude and don’t care about you or your furniture. If you read through all the reviews you will see my situation is very similar to many others. Good luck with your move. more

I used this company for a move to a temporary location while we build a house. Granted, we've not moved a lot but this was by far the worst moving experience ever! Damaged both our home we sold and rental property plus much of our furniture. Crew wasn't friendly and could care less about what they were moving. Just in a rush to finish the job to move on to the next. They didn't even move everything on my list. Called and was blown off by them. Look elsewhere! RESPONSE FROM Aardvark Moving Co: What exactly was the problem with the move? I remember speaking to both you and your wife on move day, (mainly her) and she said everything was fine, and because you wanted to save money you were moving some items yourself. Was something damaged? Id like a chance to rectify the situation, as I thought you and your wife were happy with the services. I emailed you thins morning as well and haven't heard back since my email about talking to your wife when she was at the new house and you were at the old. PLEASE let me know ASAP more

My husband and I were very impressed and pleased with the service we received from the Aardvark movers (team lead was Clay). Some boxes that were not supposed to be moved were inadvertently moved and the guys made sure these got back to the original destination at no charge. So glad Aardvark was recommended to us! more

I hired Aardvark Moving to move from one apartment to another in the same city. I had done a lot of the work myself and just needed help with my big stuff (my bed, dressers, couch, etc.). The three movers sent to help showed up late, and were extrememly unprepared. I had told the lady on the phone when I scheduled my move that I have a bed with built in drawers at the bottom and that disassembly/assmebly was needed. The men who showed up to my apartment had no tools with them because, according to them, I didn't tell them that anything was going to need to be taken apart or put back together. I asked to see the information they were given regarding my move, and saw for myself that it in fact did say that disassembly/assmebly was needed. Not only did I not get an apology from any of them, they expected me to make a trip to the store to buy them a powered screw driver. Things were behind schedule already since they showed up late, and this added on another hour & a half to the move. When we finally got everything loaded up & brought to my new apartment I thought it was all downhill from there. WRONG!!! I saw these movers piling things like my dresser drawers on top of my other wooden furniture and pushing it down the walkway & hallway instead of picking them up & carrying them like a responsible person would. All of my drawers now have dings in them, my coffee table & end table have very large and extremely noticable chips & scratches all over them, my mattress was cut up and several other items were damaged. As if this wasn't enough they didn't even put my bed back together, they just laid the pieces down so it looked like it was reassembled, but I had to do all the work myself. I was beyond frustrated and upset. And to top things off, they made the comment on many many occasions that tips were accepted, and almost made it seem like I had to tip them. When I received my bill the amount they charged me was significantly more than they had quoted me at, even though the number of items the actually moved for me was lower than what I had originally said it wuld be. When I asked about this I was told that the amount on the bill was correct, that I had to pay it, and there was no discussing the issue. I contacted the company several times after my move to discuss my experience, but I never got a response from anyone (via e-mail or phone). This was by far the worst move I have ever made (and I've moved a lot!). I wouldn't recommend Aardvark Moving to my worst enemy. Take my advice and STAY AWAY!!! more

I had moved with them on june 3rd, I was given a time frame between 12 to 4 pm, they showed up at 3:50pm, the guys were very fast and in a haste, during which they damaged my baby's crib, at my new place they left my King bed unassembled, they just placed the mattress over the frame without attaching/screwing the base support, as soon as my baby got on the bed it sunked! my hubby had to assemble the bed alone, they said they would cling/shrink wrap chester drawers, they did not, I was told they were out, the guys used my power tools, did not even bother to use their own tools. I had asked the them about the damage crib and the crew just shrugged shoulders and left, I called and spoke with Christina who said I will get an email and can file a claim for the damage, I never got it!, I called back multiple times and was told the same thing, Finally Christina hung up on me after yelling at me, so I called to complain with the owner of the company ""Josh"" Who said its not an issue, they are not trying to hide away and I should get that email, guess what? Its been a month and I am still waiting for that email! I was swayed away by reading all the positive reviews so i decided to hire them, But be careful Before hiring them, they may be the cheapest but your furniture is NOT! They have damaged my 800$ crib, and by damage I mean wooden head board broken in 2 pieces! But I called BBB they have 14 unresolved complaints against them, go figure! I might complain to BBB but I am sure its not going to get resolved. Regretting hiring them, I wish I had gone with someone else. more

Many items were missed in the move as they exceeded the time estimated for our move. Movers advised that items couldn't be taken because items were not boxed. While valid for some items, was not valid for a workbench and stands. Movers had no tools to do the disassembly we paid for - in the middle of overseeing the nine movers, I had to unpack tools to disassemble a table saw that we paid Aardvark to disassemble. more
