Possibly the best theater I've been to. 1/23/2010

Butter your own popcorn, free refills on beverages. Seats are large and roomy, like your own living room. Clean and courteous staff. Easy on and off freeway access. Plenty of show times. Saw Avatar in 3D and now this is MY theater. Went back to see Up In the Air and will be heading back today for a show. Too bad all theaters aren't this well thought out! Pros: Large seats and screens, friendly employees, great sound Cons: price but that is everywhere more

Free Popcorn/Drink Refills!! SUPER Comfy Seating!! 1/24/2009

I haven't been to a theater in many years until the past 4 months or so. I accidentally found this great movie complex and I have now seen 5 movies in just 4 months. For me, that is a ton. I haven't been to 5 movies in 20 years until I found this gem. Great seating wth high backs. I am a bigger guy and I love the moveable arm rests and plenty of leg room. Also, free refills on pop and popcorn. Nummy! I am heading there this afternoon for another great movie and experience!! Pros: Free Refills and Comfortable seating Cons: Refills CAN be slow at times, though often they do have someone to do just refills more

Reliable presentation 1/22/2004

In an overcrowded multiplex market where the management seems to care for little but getting people in the door, the Coon Rapids Showplace 16 stands out from the pack. I have seen many, many movies at this theatre and have had very few problems with the picture or sound quality -- when I have, the management has corrected it promptly. Even the smallest screens are true digital 5.1 systems. Add to that some ridiculously addictive hot dogs and free refills, and you have my favorite multiplex in the Twin Cities. The biggest plus for this place is free refills - no matter what size you bought!!! Buy a small drink & small popcorn - they'll give you more! And it's not stale! Pros: Free refills!, Comfortable seats Cons: Crowded parking more

Favorite Theatre in the Twin Cities 11/10/2002

The seats are extremely comfortable and oversized. I like how you can choose to have the arm rest or put it up to snuggle. The sound system is awesome! Also, the people are friendly. Pros: stadium seating, awesome sound, comfortable seats more
