Dispatcher Needs A Reality Check 11/4/2011

I called in to have my car towed they did however have the best price. I called at 10am and the dispatcher told me they could be there within 45 minutes. I said that was fine and waited around. At 11:15 am no one arrived. I called back to ask about the situation the dispatcher said the driver should already be there. She placed me on hold then came back to say her driver was 5 minutes away. I said ok thank you. I then waited at 11:35 the driver finally arrived. The driver said the dispatcher had gave wrong address to where I was and he had to call back to get the correct address. I said ok thats fine but she said you were only 5 minutes away at 11:15 and the driver stated that he only spoke with the dispatcher when he called to get the correct address. I just let it go. After the car was towed I called to get them to take it to a shop. I came to the place to pay for it. The lady was very rude and was on her cell phone when I came in and I was standing in the window for 5 minutes while she was on her cell phone. When she got off finally she said may I help you. I told her what i needed and she was kinda hateful about the situation. I then said well I think this should be a little bit knocked off considering I waited so long and you gave wrong address and she stated thats not my problem you will have to take that up with the manager and he isnt in and I dont know when he will return. AB Collier might be the oldest around but back then they were ran by decent people. These people are just running it to the ground with attitudes like this. Never will I use them or refer them to ANYONE their prices might be reasonable but Id rather pay more for better customer service! more

good driver -- lousy dispatcher 8/29/2011

This morning, I called a few minutes after 9 a.m. to say I had a Yukon XL with a flat tire in my garage at home in Brentwood. I told the dispatcher that I had to leave my house at 10:30 a.m. so I asked if I could schedule having someone come change the tire after lunch. She said she could send someone right away. I repeated that I had to leave the house at 10:30 a.m. so there probably wasn?t enough time. She insisted that she could send someone right away and there was ample time. An hour later, at 10:10 a.m., I called to say that no one was here yet and we needed to reschedule for after lunch because, as I told her when I called the first time, I needed to leave my house in 20 minutes at 10:30 a.m. She said the driver should have been at my house already. She put me on hold and then came back and said the driver said he was 5 minutes away. I pointed out that gave him only 15 minutes to change the tire before I had to leave at 10:30 a.m. She said that shouldn?t be a problem. Fifteen minutes later, the driver arrived at 10:25 a.m. I told him he and I were both in a bad spot because I had to leave in 5 minutes and I didn?t see how he could change the tire that quickly. He said the dispatcher told him I had to leave my house by 11:30 a.m. rather than 10:30 a.m. I said that didn?t make any sense because even if she?d misunderstood me the first time, I called again at 10:10 a.m. and said I had to leave in 20 minutes at which point the dispatcher told me the driver said he was 5 minutes away. The driver said he told the dispatcher his GPS told him he was 10 minutes away. Not wanting him to go away unpaid because of the dispatcher?s lies, the driver and I agreed that he would try to change the tire as quickly as possible. He asked me for the jack. I told him I thought he would have one. He said the dispatcher told him I?d told her I had a jack. The dispatcher and I hadn?t discussed a jack in any shape, form or fashion and I most certainly had not told her I had a jack. When I called the dispatcher to ask her why on earth she put the driver in a bad situation, me in a bind and your company?s reputation through the shredder rather than just sending the tow truck after lunch as I suggested not once but twice, she told me she didn?t have to take my s--t. I had to call for a towing recently for my daughter's broken-down vehicle. I called around and all I got were over-priced quotes. When I contacted A B Collier...my quote was considerably lower. Their arrival time was quicker than I expected.The personal were very friendly and cooperative with my stranded daughter. All I can say is any business that's been around this long....A B Collier towed me in 1969.....has to be doing something right!! I'll always use their services!! more

Rude employees 4/10/2011

We had to have our car towed.The guy that picked it up was like no problem we let your insurance take care of everything. When I called about getting it to a shop it was a whole different story.I go to pay for it with cash bill was 180.55.I give him 200.00 and he is a real smart mouth I don't have any change.I tell him ok I will give you a check.Real smart mouth again we don't take checks you can pay with a credit card for 3.50 more. I tell them I don't do credit.I had to leave and go to the bank get change and come back before they would let anyone touch my car knowing I had the cash money and was coming right back.These jerks need a lesson in customer service. It doesn't hurt to be nice to your customer that is the first thing they should learn more
