Low Prices. Fast Shipping. Great Service. 1/8/2011

I recently purchased a new Canon EF-S 17-85mm IS USM lens along with a UV filter from these guys. Their prices were the lowest of any retailer I looked into. In fact, my local camera shop was selling the same lens, but used, for the same price as 42nd was selling it for brand new. Their service was also fantastic. A day after I had placed my order I received a phone call from someone there regarding my order, and a suggestion that I use a different UV filter with the lens. He also asked when I needed the lens by, and it arrived a day early. Overall, I was very satisfied with my purchase. more

best price on DSLR anywhere 1/7/2011

I ordered a Sony alpha A290, and at first I was a little wary of this store because I have not ordered from them before, and the price was really the lowest I could find on the web. But the sales rep called me back within 48 hours to confirm the order, and I got it the very next day. The rep suggested I buy an extra battery, and offered a discount on that. I am happy with the purchase, and am pleasantly surprised by the quality of service at 42nd street photo. Keep up the good job, guys, and thanks! more

I really am so satisfied with how this place does business. The sales rep was great.....and the product was on it's way in mere days. When I took possession it was packed smartly.....and began my journey (and definitely more of my business is going their way). I am also amazed at the selection of many items that I am and could soon be interested in purchasing sooner than later. Many accessories and a one stop place to shop! more

Excellent Customer Service, Friendly Staff, Quick Shipping 1/6/2011

I originally ordered a camera online that was no longer available and the employee called me straight away to say that the order didn't go through. He kindly suggested a better camera for a cheaper price. The product was shipped in 2 days, just in time for Christmas. Products are significantly cheaper than other retail stores. I highly suggest purchasing the products from this venue. The staff is also knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions you may have. more

Excellent prices, good service 1/6/2011

I ordered my new Canon 7D, body only with a memory card. I've been shopping for several months now, and was having a hard time finding what I thought would be a reputable dealer to buy from. I was getting pretty discouraged, until I found 42nd Street Photo. I called my order in, because they were having a special on memory card upgrades. I did have a small dispute about the memory card they sold me, as it was about $155 more than what I thought I ordered. When I called back to dispute it, they explained that the card I wanted wouldn't work in that camera. After doing a little research, I think they were probably right, so it turned out OK in the end. I placed my order at 5:00 PM CST on a Thursday before a Holiday weekend & my order was packed that night, and shipped out the next day. I received it the following Wednesday. Everything was ""as represented"" in their ads. Overall, I had a very good experience and wouldn't be afraid to buy from them again. more

42nd St. not only sold our camera for $40 less than Amazon, it did so with prompt and helpful service and shipping. A representative told us exactly what card and battery would work best with the camera, and we received it two days later (in DC), without paying for expedited shipping. We couldn't be happier with our experience so far. more

Ecelent Experience 1/5/2011

I got a great camera (Cannon Rebel T2i) for fewer than 1000 bucks from the good people at 42nd Street Photo. When I started shopping with them I was kind of scare because I don't ship on line much. They called me right after I placed my order. Customer service is really good. They took my order and answered all questions I had on the camera I was getting. I have to say, they were so professional and well informed It took my breath away. For someone who doesn't shop online much, I really enjoyed my shopping experience with them and they made me more confident about making more purchases on line. I have sent my daughters boyfriend to these guys and he shops online allot, and said that they were as easy as you get. more

Lowest price around 1/5/2011

My husband ordered a DSLR camera from 42nd Street photo. He is a bargain shopper and will spend hours or days looking for the best price...42nd Street photo had the best prices, by far, even during all of the holiday and end-of-the-year sales. Service was good, though they do try to get you to buy expensive accessories after you've ordered the camera. Shipping was quick and cheap. Overall, a great place to shop! more

my boyfriend got me the waterproof camera for christmas..when the package came home, i was so quick to open it. I loveeee it very much! i didn't like the fact that they got him to buy an extra battery, he could have bought me a SD memory card instead..but other than that, I love the service and how quick it came. I would shop here again. more

I bought my Canon T2i body with 42nd street and I am very happy with the price and the fact the they called me before the order went out to make sure that I was happy with my purchase. However, as many salesman are, they were rather pushy with the extras. They talked me into an extra battery/memory card deal that I did not have the time to research, and soon after making the agreement I wished that I had done more research on the possible extras so I could confidently say ""yea"" or ""nay"" on the things they were proposing to me. Overall good experience. Good price, just know as much as you can before you purchase so you know you aren't getting the screwgie. more

After researching the best digital cameras of 2010, I ended up purchasing from 42nd Street Photo. After submitting an internet order, I received a phone call a few days later from 42nd Street Photo to confirm my order. I was tricked into purchasing a 6 hour battery from them, because the battery the camera came with would only last an hour. I did not know this when I purchased the camera. Had I known this, I would not have purchased the camera from this company because the longer life battery was included with the camera from other companies. The camera did arrive pretty quickly. Overall it was a good experience. more

I got a well-rated camera for a great price! After searching for good cameras on Consumer Reports, I finally found the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G10 which had everything I was looking for. Fortunately there was a link that took me to 42nd Street Photo where I was able to quickly and easily purchase the camera. Originally the camera was selling for $550 but I got it for $420 which was one of the lowest prices around. In addition, I was able to purchase a memory card for a low price. Shipping was free and extremely fast. Overall I would say 42nd Street Photo is a reliable company that will make sure your needs are met! more
