Company Event HUGE Success! 10/10/2011

We had a blast! My boss wanted to go bowling when our worldwide continent managers were in town. We booked the private lanes - VERY nice. We had our own bartenders and wait staff as well as private bathrooms! The lanes were in fine condition; no problems with scoring, etc. The food was delicious! Phenominal appetizer selections: fresh fruit, vegetables and dip, delightful cheeses and an array of crackers. The desserts were delectable! more

save your money! 1/10/2011

come book a party at this place where they tell you open bar. NOT TRUE! we get there with 30 people and we had 1 waitress for 4 lanes. 2 bartender for the whole place. we wait 15min for our drinks! so the next time around we order more drinks than people we had so they can keep up with us. then at the end they over charge us, telling us we had 50+people. We told them to go look at the camera and count 50 people. guess what, they couldnt! IF THE CONTRACT SAYS OPEN BAR, ITS OPEN BAR! some guy name paul tells us its 4 drinks per hour bullsht AVOID THIS PLACE! I would NEVER go back! more

Average bowling with a pricey menu 3/9/2010

I went bowling at 300 during Happy Hour and the interior of the place is nice. They help you pick out your bowling ball and shoes and there are servers who handle everything you need on the lanes. Me and my friend ordered pineapple and rum well drinks (the pineapple was an extra 50 cents) and for $3 they were on point! The menu looked good and smelled good (other lanes ordered food) but the prices were a little too much for us so we didn't order anything to eat. I've heard stories about the other 300 locations in the US and I was expecting a little more but this location didn't disappoint me. I say go during happy hour or any one of their other promotions (like ladies night) when you can enjoy cheaper food, drinks and bowling prices. Pros: Happy Hour Drinks Cons: Menu Prices more

Great place! 2/6/2010

This is by far the best bowling alley in town. It was remodeled recently so it doesn't reek of cigarette smoke, its clean and the people that work here are very friendly. Pros: Newer, doesn't smell like a cigarette, clean, great for kids Cons: Can't think of any... more

WAY OVER PRICED!!!! 9/19/2009

My husband and I are early thirties, no kids so we are out a bit and am reasonably familiar with pricing for food and drinks in the inner loop/ Memorial area. We met some friends at this place for something different to do on a Friday night and for just my husband and I for 5 drinks (NOT top shelf/ well drinks and NOT doubles, singles) and an appetizer. with 2 games of bowling we spent OVER $100. The food was okay and they people were nice but a $100 for 2 games of bowling and 2 hours of entertainment, that is a bit much. With our 4 friends and us, for the two games and drinks and food our lane spent about $400. It was SERIOUSLY overpriced. Next time would go eat at a nice place or go to trendy bar such as Sawyer Park or a nice wine bar. Pros: decent food and clean Cons: WAY OVER PRICED!!!! more

300 is hot 8/16/2009

how hot is it to go to a hip place that has great music, service at your lanes and bowling all rolled into one. Pros: Love the atmosphere and service Cons: took a little time for lanes, but I guess it is popular more

Sleek appearance takes a back seat to poor service 7/29/2009

For some reason I keep giving this place a second chance. It's a central location for my friends to meet coming from all corners of Houston. It's newly remodeled and everything is in good shape. That's where it stops. I've been there on a Thursday night and granted it was busy but the wait time of an hour and fifteen minutes was ridiculous for 2 lanes. We waited at the bar only to be ignored most of the time or rudely asked what we wanted. The bartender would ask one person what they wanted and then turn around to get a drink instead of asking several people and consolidating his task. Then he wouldn't come by again for long periods of time (longer than normal, I go to packed bars and good bar tenders make rounds back and forth enough to make it tolerable, this was nothing like that). We decided to move to the tables by the bar and eat while we waited. One person in our group could not even get the bar tenders attention to close his tab so he joined us and asked our waitress to close it for him. It took 15 minutes before we were approached by waitstaff at the table. Place drink orders with them took an inordinate amount of time as well. We felt as though wait staff were walking around ignoring us and only socializing with each other. We finally got the call for our lanes and had continuous problems with the lane resetting each frame. To management's credit they did not charge us for our bowling. When we told the waitress at our lane we wanted to close out she said she could not split the tab. Fair enough, we didn't tell her from the start and I understand that can be difficult with a large group. Pros: Newly remodeled, games and music videos on big screens Cons: service, service more

Don't 300 6/30/2009

I met a group there to go bowling of course. I was the first one there. I put our name on the list and the attendant said it would be 45 min. wait. I said wow that's a long time! When the group got there we realized we had 2 more than originally planned(Total 8). I went back to ask if it was ok if we added to more to the group and that we wanted to go ahead and 2 lanes instead of 1. The attendant said well, it will be one more hour wait for the second lane. But , you can go to the private bowling room and it's only $100/hr. I explained to the group, and evryone agreed it would faster to go in the VIP room. Everything seemed to work out fine. We had our own server for drinks and food. Just wish it would have cost a little less to go bowling. Never knew a bowling alley could be so upscale?? Pros: Clean, lively, upscale bowling feeling Cons: Wait, Service at bar slow more

Price: RIPPED-OFF 2/16/2009

The bowling lanes look nice. The price is somewhat ripoffs. The game costs you $7.00. The bowling shoes rental are somewhat ripoffs that costs nearly $5.00. Believe it or not, a coke (coca-cola) drink costs itself $3.25 and a beer costs $5.00 to $7.00. The total of two games and rental shoes are $17.00 PER person, that times 4 people that is too way profit for 300. I wont go back there again. Two games with rental shoes for $10 is VERY GOOD DEAL. Sorry, 300!!! I miss the old business before 300 came in. Pros: The appearance Cons: Prices more

Horrible Bowling Alley 2/1/2009

The lady and I went to 300 to try something new from our usual bowling alley and were utterly disappointed. We first got our lane and was greeted by our server. We ordered food and drinks and that's where the service ended. We started bowling and 1 hour (4 games) later, 1 of our entrees come out. It struck me why our food took so long. It must be really hard to place slices of tomato with cheese on top of bread and heat. Our drinks were never refilled at this point and we didn't even have silverware to eat. I'm not even quiet sure the food was good as we were both starving at this point. We finish our current game each and that when decide we had enough. But wait, our other entree didn't even come out yet. I insisted to don't even worry about the food to the waitress and just close out my tab so that we could just leave. The waitress takes my card and comes back. The bill was about $90 for the two of us... We were charged 8 games extra. So after another 15 minutes of waiting to figure out how to reverse charges, we were able to leave. If you are looking for a bowling alley to have fun, go try somewhere else and save yourself 2-3 dollars PER game. This place is not as "upscale" as it seems. Pros: Cool lighting Cons: Everything else more

great place 1/16/2009

I took wife and friends to 300 for my wifes 30th birthday. The food, service and athmospher was great. The music was also perfect for our gathering. Our server chrystal was very attentive to our needs. we still cant stop talking about how much fun we all had. Pros: great service Cons: None more

Top of the line lanes but not as well staffed 1/10/2009

We hired a birthday party package encouraged by the unique features advertised on the web and sleek looks of the remodeled venue. The bottom line is that 300 failed to deliver. Pros: Trendy Atmosphere Cons: Service and bar more

I give it a TEN! 1/7/2009

Wow... a bowling center with style. It was great food, drinks and service. I will return!!! We had champagne bottle service next to our lane while having crab cakes to start and then we shared lamb chops!!!! i didnt know if i was at a bowling ally or downtown. you have to check this out Pros: Service Cons: maybe it was too much fun more

Probably Won't Go Back 12/29/2008

My wife and I ended up at 300 because the bowling center nearest to our house was full with birthday parties. When we arrived at 300 we placed our name on a waiting list and took a seat at the bar. The bar was very nice and the bartender was very helpful and attentive. When our names were called we were placed next to a family of 5 who were out for a fun evening. My wife and I were amazed that no one among the 300 staff said a word to the parents about their kids routinely running onto the lanes and falling down. We bowled 3 games (the lanes were dry, but that was probably due to the fact that kids are allowed to use the lanes as a Slip 'N Slide) and were ready to leave, so I went to the desk to pay. The people at the desk informed me that I should have met a personal attendant (waiter) who would settle up with me and that I should wait by the lane until that person arrived. So I sat for 10 minutes until I was presented with a bill and another 5 or so while they ran my credit card. We understand that places can have off nights and that they may have been understaffed. So we very well may end up there again to give it another shot. But the price per game isn't very reasonable (we spent roughly $80 for 6 games and 4 beers) and the big screens at the end of the lanes that blast the latest Disney "pop sensation" while blinding you with strobe lights on the approach (we were there at 5pm on a Saturday, so it wasn't a Rock 'n Bowl situation) have kept us away so far. Pros: Nice Bar Cons: Bowling seemed secondary to the owner/staff more

Big party fun! 12/17/2008

I just went to a bowling party at 300 houston last night with my friends company and had a blast! The food was better than what you would expect by far for a bowling alley, the lanes modern and cool and VIP service with our own break out room with food and wait staff! Totally cool Bowling experience! Pros: Graet for parties! Cons: not one! more

Once was enough for me... 12/16/2008

Awful service. Overpriced. Food was just OK... Did I mention AWFUL service? Pros: Everything was nice and new Cons: Service, Price more
