I first started taking my dog to Dr. Dipolo and he is very honest and caring with any recommendations. The same for my cat. In the 12 years of having my cat, by far the best vet...

Editorial review from Citysearch 5/17/2013

We have been going to Worth Street Veterinary Center for over two years now. We adopted our Chihuahua puppy in March '11 & Dr. DiPolo has been his only Vet. The staff is unfailingly polite/friendly & we have been extremely happy with the services we have received & the prices have been fair/decent as well. Dr. DiPolo is a superb Vet who strikes the perfect balance between love of animals & tending to the needs of pet owners. Dr. DiPolo patiently answers any questions & has consistently given us good advice. Our dog, Ripley, even likes Dr. DiPolo & doesn't mind trips to the Vet. We live in Washington Heights, so it's a schlepp for us to take Ripley to Worth Street in TriBeCa, but we are so happy with Dr. DiPolo that we don't give it a second thought. Highly Recommended! We love Dr. DiPolo! more

Wonderful Vet to both my dog and cat! 2/4/2012

So relieved 7/23/2011

I hit the jackpot with Dr. DiPolo. I've been driving my cats out of town for healthcare because I couldn't find a vet locally who was not only a great doctor of conventional medicine, but knowledgeable in the use of complimentary medicine and the feeding of raw food. That's a first in the city for me and I feel so relieved. He treats my 15 year old cat with such care and the staff is so friendly and happy. Its wonderful to go to a doctor with whom you can actually have a conversation. Highly recommend. more

Unquestionably the Best Vet in the City! 12/3/2010

Finding the right vet is one of the more stressful experiences in NYC...we know, we'd been through several before chancing upon Dr. DiPolo several years back! He takes the time to explain the underlying condition of our dog Misty, never suggests superfluous treatment / testing / drug administration, and is highly responsive to questions. Not to mention his facility and staff, which makes a visit to the vet an enjoyable, stress-free experience for Misty (who used to shiver / have a nervous breakdown when we took her to our previous vet). Misty, who's had a number of health issues in the past, has never been healthier and happier than under Dr. DiPolo and his staff's care. more

Praise for Worth Street Veterinary Center 7/19/2010

My cat Connie has been a patient of Dr. DiPolo's for several years and we have followed him to his new practice, Worth Street Veterinary Center. Connie has not been without her share of ailments and through each process, Dr. DiPolo has been a conscientious, compassionate and well-informed care provider each and every step of the way. Each staff member at WSVC shares his enthusiasm for caring for each and every pet that enters the facility and goes above and beyond to put both the patient and the patient's person at ease in what are often difficult situations. Connie has received the highest level of medical care under Dr. DiPolo's direction. He has enhanced her life by extending not only the number but, more importantly, the quality of her days. more

Worth Street Vet worth it! 7/17/2010

High marks for Worth Street Vet and Dr. DiPolo. You know that doctor that you see on ""Lassie"" re-runs, or imagine when you see a Norman Rockwell painting, or the caring Vet that would emerge if Frank Capra was directing how a vet would treat you and your pet??...Dr. DiPolo is the guy. We stumbled upon him about 6 months back to do house-calls for acupuncture for our aging pooch. From the start, he cared for her as much as we did, and most importantly, our questions and over-concerns were never met with anything but generosity and caring. All of that translated to the Worth Street Center about 6 months later when our sweet girl came down with sever kidney problems. Lucy had to stay with him for four days which was heart-breaking and difficult for us, and her...he cared for her wonderfully, including playing music for her during the night. Lucy has had a wonderful recovery, and Dr. DiPolo continues to care for her from afar as we moved back to Los Angeles. I don't know that I could come up with a better feeling about the Worth Street Vet Center. We had to be very active parents, with hip surgeries, pain management, stem-cell therapy, and ultimately kidney issues. We have experienced many many vets over the years. Dr. DiPolo is a breed all to rare. Pros: service, bed-side manner more

Most Caring Vet in NYC 7/16/2010

I have been taking my dog to Dr. Dipolo for a year now and he has been amazing. Now I have 2 dogs and they both go to Dr. Dipolo. He opened his open practice and the new center is truly wonderful. The time and dedication that Dr. Dipolo gives is so heart warming. He cares about our animals just as much as we do. He really takes his time and you never feel rushed. He returns phone calls promptly and even anwers all emails. His new practice is an eco friendly center which shows he not only cares about our animals but also about our enviroment. I highly recommend to him to anyone! Staff is super friendly and the place is spotless! more

Unbelievable! Fantastic! Am I dreaming?! 7/16/2010

I started seeing Dr. DiPolo when he opened. I have a very difficult behavior case with my little one and some issues with weight for my big girl. Dr. DiPolo has worked tirelessly to help my with my little dog and not matter what she throws at us he keeps coming back with a passion to make our lives easier and her life more fulfilling. We have had a wonderful experience every time we have gone into Worth Street Vet. The staff is so nice, so friendly they call me by name. I have never felt so comfortable in a Vets office EVER! I cannot say enough good things because this is the kind of Dr. you want to bring your animals to. Dr. DiPolo is so good with them, the Vet Techs are just as good and you can be sure that when you walk up to the desk you are treated with respect and honor by really awesome people. I say run, take a cab, jump on the subway come downtown or swing uptown if your south Dr. DiPolo is SO worth it. Pros: Patience, communication, kind, open door policy, fair, CARES Cons: ZERO more

The best vet 7/16/2010

Dr. DiPolo has been nothing but amazing to both my dog and I. My 2-year old mini dachshund had a health issue that led to one of her kidneys being removed, and right after the surgery Dr DiPolo started treating her. He changed her diet, gave me advice on everything from vaccination to exercise and truly changed my dog's life. She has been a much happier, healthier dog ever since he started treating her. There have been various incidents with my dog's health which he has handled not only extremely professionally, but also with rare compassion. I was more than happy to follow him at the Worth Street Veterinary Center. The facility truly is state of the art, with separate rooms for cats and dogs to ensure maximum calm for our pets. Every single thing has been taken care of at the facility, and it is really great to see, but frankly we would follow Dr. DiPolo anywhere. The Veterinary Center is yet another reflection to the way he views treating every single animal. Also worth mentioning is the fact that my dog had to go through a period of frequent blood and urine tests, and Dr. DiPolo was always extremely punctual when the results would come out, and he would call me himself to let me know. He would answer any question I could possibly have, from the most silly ones to the more important ones. He wants you to know everything you feel like you need to for the well-being of your pet, and for someone who is slightly neurotic, this access to all sorts of information is very important :) I really could not recommend him enough! Pros: great care, extremely involved, very clean, honest Cons: absolutely none! more

My husband and I have been taking our little 3 yrs. old lhasa to Dr. Dipolo for a year now (we rescued her last year) and we could not be more happy... Dr. Dipolo is very caring and always available to answer any questions/ concerns you might have. The new center is wonderful and eco-friendly, a testament to their dedication to not only animals but also our environment. Great staff as well. Highly recommended!!! more

Downtown vet 7/6/2010

My husband and I have been taking our frenchbulldog, Buster, to Dr. DiPolo for 7 years. He is an extremely compassionate vet and treats Buster as if he were his own. Our dog has had two knee surgeries under Dr. DiPolo's care and is doing great. Dr. DiPolo always follows up with phone calls and thoroughly answers any questions or concerns. His staff is super nice too. We followed Dr. DiPolo from the upper east side to Tribeca. Definitely WORTH the trip! Pros: dedicated, compassionate, great care more

Vet, downtown 7/6/2010

My dog was very old and very sick. Dr. Di understands geriatic vetinary medicine and he and his staff cared for ""Jack"" in the best possible way on every level. Dr. DiPolo gets it. He is the ""vet whisperer"" and I am gland I found him. Pros: wonderful, compassionate, friendly more

Great Vet 5/19/2010

Dr DiPolo and his clinic are awesome!! I have brought my puppy in twice (once was spay), and each time has been great. The place is spotless - clean and neat. The staff is friendly and caring - they come out to greet and pet my pup. Dr. DiPolo takes his time. He explains everything, gives you all the possibilities. He listens and makes recommendations based on your dog and your situation. My puppy enjoys going there - that certainly helps!! I've been to a number of vets over the years - haven't found one that I really like in NYC until now!\r \r Pros: Personalized Attention Cons: Haven't found one yet more
