Sport Restaurant - THE Kid Friendly Seattle Sports Bar 7/4/2006

Can you say 130" HDTV Plasma? I'm a member of the Puget Sound PSU ALumni Group, and we watch ALL our games here. There is an area just by the TV which is family friendly, AND each table in the main portion of the dining room has its own LCD TV (great for dual matches...) If the kids melt down, have a spouse stay while they get better in the lobby, where there are several LCD Plasma displays acting as backup. Or, before the game, wear them out at the Seattle Center, Children's Museum, or Science Center - all within a 10 minute walk. Also, any kids meal gets you a free golden ticket into their monthly memorabilia drawing. If that wasn't enough, they sponsor little leagues by allowing the league to give a number that when referenced by guests on their bill gets 2% refunded back to the league. How many places do that still?? Look at their site for more information. Parking in the garage under it at Fisher Plaza is $5 for an ENTIRE weekend day. Not only are they kid friendly in environment and food, they are also pro kid in the community. Besides, can you say 130" HDTV Plasma?? I know you can... ;) more

Average Food and High Prices with Unispired Service 12/9/2005

I went to Sport for the first time today with fairly low expectations and wasn't disappointed. Although I admit I was not there for a sporting event, which may change my mind, a restaurant that is charging this much should be much better. This is pretty much a copy of Hooters (without the slinky outfits) or Fox Sport grill. The decor and ambiance says I am a chain and I we are going to stay well within the safe haven of suburb-style decor. The food is ok, but very expensive. My coworker had a Thai chicken sandwich which cost $9.95 and I had a BBQ chicken sandwich for $9.50. Each sandwich had a small helping of jo jo's (fancy-more-healthy-sounding term for French Fries). For this much money I expected much more, but the sandwiches are small, dry and boring and the fires are well, just fries. This meal should cost about $5.50. In addition the very long menu really doesn't have much. I didn't see any vegetarian and do you really need 6 versions of the same chicken sandwich or 12 versions of the same burger? My recommendation is if you want this kind of food save you money, eat at Applebees first and go to Sport after. If you are looking for flavor, and uniqueness there are two other wonderful choices at Fisher Plaza. Eat there and drink and watch sports at Sport later. more

Monday Night Footbal HQ 12/6/2005

Lots of TVs, crazy fans, beer & basic food. Good ambience to watch a game. As a bonus, KOMO shoots its post game show right outside the bar. more

An excellent on-the-way-to-being-upscale sportsbar 7/21/2005

"Sport" is located across the street from the Space Needle (in the "Fisher Plaza") and despite the somewhat corporate looking surroundings, it is a true haven for both real sports fanatics and those just looking to enjoy a few beers while catching a Mariners (Seahawks/Sonics/Storm/UW/etc.) game on the screens. It can get very crowded during major events, so plan to get there early for championship games, etc. Good beer selection, great munchies, too. A genial crowd and really nice servers make this a great place to enjoy the large numbers of flat screens they have tuned in to any conceivable sporting competition. I highly recommend it! more
