I really like that Dr. Ficarra really treats each animal individually. She keeps you informed with different issues that come up in your pets health and what you can do to treat or prevent any diseases. more

Wonderful vet clinic with a caring environment 11/17/2011

Dr. Ficarra is wonderful! She saved my cat from from so many things. With the proper diagnosis and medication my senior cat Ziggy can now live her golden years happy and comfortable. Kind and caring hands from both staff and doctor. more

I really like bringing my dog here. Whenever he is sick they take really good care of him.They treat him like he is a part of their family. The facility is clean and welcoming and the staff is very friendly. more

I will be recommending 10/31/2011

I had to bring our pup into Downtown Vet for the first time last month. Our other veterinarian retired and HE told us about Dr. Ficarra. She was patient and caring with our sick boy. Turns out he got kennel cough from a kennel, poor little guy. But I digress, Dr. Ficarra is wonderful and will be a nice replacement for us. more

Im sold 10/24/2011

I bring my dog to work with me sometimes. Sometimes I get swamped at the office and I'll be there for over 12 hours some days so I like to have Scotty with me. He was having stomach issues and I could not get him an appointment to our vet. My mom uses Dr. Ficarra because she makes house calls. I always thought that was ridiculous, but when I needed her to come to my office to look at Scotty, she was there. She was professional and courteous and fixed my boy right up. more

Downtown Vet Clinic, is the best animal hospital in New York, hands down. Dr. Ficarro and her staff and so kind and gentle. My dog unfortunatly recently passed away. Not only have I lost my best friend, but I am loosing you guys too! Thank so much for all your care through the years. more

My family and I have recently relocated to NYC. Dr. Ficarra is not only one of the nicest people I have ever met, but she is great vet. I thought it was unheard of to have a vet pay house calls, but when we needed it, she was there. My mother was the one who recommended you all, because she has been in New York for years. I will certainly be taking her recommendations more often. more

You and your pet are not just another patient/client when you go see Dr. Ficarra. She is so caring with your pet that you will not even mind having to bring them in. When my vets office was closed, we called Downtown Vet Clinic and Dr. Ficcarra came to home the next night. She helped us with our dog sally, immensely. Thank you Dr. Ficcara! more

Life savers 10/7/2011

I have been told that I am a silly old woman for years now. Well, I lived up to that name last year when I took in a Great Dane. At first, I was just going to foster him, but I fell in love and decided to keep him. It was only a few months after I decided to keep him, that I fell and really injured my hip. When the big guy got sick a few weeks ago, I was panicking. When I could not even get through the phone lines to my normal vet, I asked around and a friend at our dog park told me that Downtown Vet does house calls. When I called, they confirmed and set up a visit. Dr. Ficarra was so helpful and got my big boy back to his healthy state! Thank you so much Downtown Vet Clinic! more

A very sincere thank you. 10/6/2011

We unfortunately had to put our dog, Sam, down last week. He had been suffering for a while now and it was time. The staff at Downtown was just great. We've had to bring him in a few times in the past couple of months and they were always so nice and helpful to my family. If and when we get another dog, we will only take bring him here. Thanks for your kindness at this very tough time for my family more
