We just discovered this review site for Dr. Nogle and his staff and would like to express our gratitude for the work they do and their dedication to helping us with the wildlife patients in our area. From reading the ""reviews"" here, it is clear some people have had distressing and upsetting situations involving their pet. However, some reviews clearly are favorable and speak to the experience we have had with Dr. Nogle and Aerowood over the years. \r \r Sarvey Wildlife Care Center is located in Arlington and we operate the only wildlife ambulance service in the state. We are very fortunate to have the staff at Aerowood to assist us with the needs of the wildlife patients brought to us. First, there appear to be some misconceptions about the legalities and treatments involved. All veterinary clinics in the state are allowed to intake wildlife for triage care, or euthanasia if necessary. MANY vet clinics contact us all the time regarding a bird or small mammal brought to them by a citizen or client. The WA regulations state that these animals can be stabilized and/or treated by the vet and then they are to get them to a licensed rehab facility for further care and ultimately - release back to the wild. We often pick up animals from other vet clinics when they take in something they are not prepared to treat and rehabilitate long term. The only restriction that these vet clinics have is in regards to payment - they cannot legally charge you to treat wildlife. \r \r Dr. Nogle and his staff take these animals in temporarily at no cost to our facility. As a non-profit organization, we depend on individual donations and so their willingness to help us keep costs lower, and help an animal in need shows their devotion to all animals. \r \r The staff at Aerowood allow the public to bring them injured and orphaned wildlife to await transport to our clinic. Our ambulance makes daily runs to Bellevue and the staff at Aerowood stabilize, hydrate, or otherwise care for the animals as needed until our driver arrives. All of the wildlife brought to Aerowood are kept contained and away from anyone's pets - and furthermore - their clinic does not even allow all species to be dropped off directly specifically so they do not expose anyone or any animal to unnecessary illness or injury. \r \r We cannot thank Dr. Nogle and all the staff at Aerowood enough for their long time dedication to helping animals and partnering with Sarvey Wildlife. After my cat's vet moved away I spent a good 2 and a half years trying to find a vet that I like. I asked all of my friends with pets where they go and 4 different people all referred me to Aerowood. I figured I had to give it a try.\r \r I ended up having to make an appointment because one of my cat's ears were bothering him. The receptionist who anwered the phone and scheduled my appointment was very friendly, very patient with all my questions and I had no trouble making a next day appointment. \r \r When I arrived for my appointment I was very pleased to find that they have one enterance for cats and one for dogs. This was very pleasing! My cats are terrified of big dogs sniffing at their cage the way they have had other vets.\r \r The lady who checked me in was very nice and very quick to input me as a new client in the computer system.\r \r Once I was in the computer system, I literally only had about a five minute wait before I was seen.\r \r I saw Dr. Nogle, who is actually a co-owner of the hospital. He was very kind and very gently handled my very frightened cat.\r \r He ended up diagnosing my cat with ear mites. He took the time to explain everything to me including what we needed to do to treat him, possible effects of the antibiotics, etc. He and his assistant also took the time to show me exactly how to put the medication in his ears and even sent me home with the tube they did the first dose with for free. \r \r I 've already scheduled my other cat for his yearly check up. I am so pleased to have FINALLY found an animal hospital I can TRUST. Anf on top of that, they are 24 hours and literally a 3minute drive from my home. I feel so good knowing that if anything ever happened to my cats, not matter what time of the day, I can count on Aerowood. more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE\r \r I put my cat to sleep in May 2005. It was the most painful experience. The way they put him down was higly Unprofessional, and my cat was dying for at least 20 minutes, with blood over his throw.\r \r Recently i had to go send my rescued dog to Rainbow bridge because of her fatal illness. It was in Kirkland Emergency and I DID SEE HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE.\r \r Those monsters from Aerowood Hospital who put my cat through the hell... they are just lucky I didn't know the way of euthanasia at that time... I would sue them. \r \r And they charged me way too much for a personal cremation. After reading some articles about cremation scam, I am not even sure, I have ashes of my cat - I am going to check it out.\r \r If you love your pet - never ever go to this clinic.\r Sorry, I don't remember the name of the emergency doctor, but it was an Asian guy. more

I have used Aerowood since 1995, and they have given my animals' excellent care. I took my first puppy there for shots and neutering at 6 months old and he passed away last week after 14 fine years. The Afterhours Emergency Clinic helped me through that final visit with more care and compassion that I could ever have expected, and Aerowood sent me a condolence card signed by all 15 staff members. They are awesome professionals. I've had to use other vets when living out of town and have seen just what shoddy care and awful service is like -- I'll always come back to Aerowood. It's a pity that [ThatCowgirl] had such a bad experience, and the loss of her animal is very sad, but what she describes is NOT the clinic and the people that I have known for 14 years (+/- 30 visits). Pros: Walk-in Saturdays; Low staff turn-over; Pet records are available to Emer. vets; Friendly Cons: Their products are a little spendy (but it's expensive real estate). more

I dis-recommend Aerowood. We had a very bad experience with them that ended a $500 bill and my cat being euthanized (and he should not have been- our regular vet was mortified when he heard the story. He had been out of town and this was after hours so we went to Aerowood's emergency center). In addition, there they have several state complaints filed (at least against Dr. Howard Paik).\r \r Do NOT leave wild animals with them either- they are NOT licensed to care for them but they allow drop offs and the wildlife center will come periodically to pick up whatever has survived. Not the healthiest practice for the domestic animals going there for medical care as it exposes them to a variety of diseases and parasites.\r \r I know it is further to drive to take a wild animal to Sarvey or PAWS directly, but Aerowood is NOT set up to care for wild animals, nor are they legally supposed to. They lack the knowledge, supplies and license to even warehouse the wild animals until Sarvey can pick them up. The wild animal or bird gets NO medical attention, it just sits and suffers (and hopes to live) until Sarvey can get there, while exposing your pet to illness and disease.\r \r This place STINKS and should clean up their act.\r \r Cons: Dr. Haik is terrible, this place takes in wild animals despite lacking proper license or facility. more

My two small dogs have been patients of Aerowood for several years. It all started when our first dog had a reation to a standard vaccine given at Banfield Animal Clinic in Issaquah. Areowood, unlike Banfield, is open 24/7 with a doctor constantly on site to treat both minor and major illnesses. Getting a regular appointment during standard business hours is not hard and again, unlike Banfield, I could trust the Areowood medical team to properly complete the paperwork needed for my dogs to travel to Germany. And finally, on Saturday mornings Aerowood offers a walk-in option which is great for taking care of small, yet annoying, items such as canine rear-end glands (i.e., ""bumm squeezing""). I'm very happy with their services and will continue to bring my dogs tho Aerowood. Pros: Doctors on site 24/7 Cons: Older building, but they're actively rennovating it. more
