Review content:
Ivy Tech Community College is the worst college I have ever had the misfortune of running across. The staff, particularly the Financial Aid staff, are so rude there's few words to describe it. I have tried to negotiate this school for three semesters, and I'm just done. I don't know how many college students have left because of the administration is simply intolerable, but I will be the first to put it out there. The instructors I had were funny and sincere, but their own level of expertise was not far ahead of mine, in some cases, further behind then I am. These people are obviously not paid enough, not trained enough, and not educated enough themselves. Some of them would spend large chunks of class time complaining about the state of the school. They sell you ""books"" for $150.00 that does not even have a cover, you have to go buy a binder to stick your $150.00 stack of papers in. They make you pay a dollar so you can get a plastic card with a .30c balance on it to print things out, even if they are important papers concerning Financial Aid. You pay to sneeze in this school, and even that is unsatisfactory. I watched six people in front of me in the line of the Financial Aid today, and all six of them walked away with grimaces, angry, one walked away very much appearing as if she were going to break down into tears. There were TWO people handling the Financial Aid office, and in between handling the students that were airily chit-chatting about their own ineptness at using the programs they use for Financial Aid. Things like that should NEVER make it to the students ears. This school is a joke, and it's apparently proud of the fact that it employs witless administration, and burnt-out, under-paid professors, many of whom I took classes from would even regale us with their 'this is my other job' story. Essentially, if you would like a pleasant learning atmosphere, a quality college-level education, and an intelligent person to communicate your needs and abilities to, scratch this school off of your list with vengeance.
