I have been to many dentists and although this was not the worst, it was certainly not the best either. Many of the procedures were very painful. Even I was surprised when I had a cleaning that actually hurt. I thought that this was impossible, yet apparently it is not. Also, I felt that many of the procedures that the dentist recommended were not necessary. I came away with the opinion that he was recommending them with dollar sings glowing in his eyes instead of being honest with me and not recommending unnecessary and massively expensive procedures. All of his procedures were astoundingly expensive, even more so than most dentists. The waiting room was not particularly comfortable unless you enjoy reading old magazines and watching lame children’s films. Also, they boasted that they have televisions in each room. As a patient, I was unimpressed. Mostly the staff watched them, and ignored me while they laughed and quickly ran from room to room so they would not miss any of the lines. Because of the position that dentists often have to put their patients in, I could not even see the television at all. Another problem that I had with this dentist was the fact that the staff were too personal. One of the staff would continually pour the details of her life to me, and then ask me my advice. She even insisted on hugging me. I did not come there as a Dear Abby, I merely wanted my teeth fixed. I saw her do this to everyone. It made me feel very uncomfortable and I suspect everyone else felt the same way. To conclude, I do not recommend this dentist. If you want a good dentist, with a reasonable price, who is friendly yet professional I recommend Dr. Cheryl Callahan.
