I brought my 6 x 9 shag rug to One Low Price Cleaners in November of 2011 for cleaning. My rug was sent to Radiant Leather, the company One Low Price has a contract with to clean large items. I had dropped my rug off on a Tuesday, it was picked up the following Monday for cleaning and returned to One Low Price Cleaners the Monday after. Once I finally got my rug home, there was an apparent crack running through the length of the rug in the center. I brought my rug back about a week later and inquired about compensation. Another week went by and neither company contacted me. I was told I would be contacted by Radiant Leather.
After 3 weeks went by, One Low Price informed me that Radiant Leather was attempting to repair the damage. Two weeks later I went to pick up my rug and the damage was worse. One Low Price contacted Radiant Leather by phone and explained the damage and gave my number to the employee on the phone so that I could be contacted by the manager. As my rug sat at the cleaners, 3 more weeks went by and no one contacted me or answered my calls. Once again, I visited One Low Price Cleaners. I have been told numerous times that I would be contacted. Another month went by and I finally got a call from One Low Price Cleaners to tell me that Radiant Leather had reached the decision to repay me for the cost of the cleaning, but not for the rug.
I still have not been compensated for the cost of the cleaning, nor has Radiant Leather contacted me. I have called Radiant Leather with my complaint, and I was told I would be called back by the manager, but I have not been called.
It has now been 5 months since I dropped my rug off for cleaning, After giving them a chance to repair the rug, it is evident that is is beyond repair, and I still do not have my rug back, nor do I know which company has it, and both companies are refusing to compensate me for the rug. This has been a terrible experience, with terrible service. I will never bring another item to these cleaners again.
