Nova Cosmetic Center

Dr. Karlin is the most rude and uncaring individual I have ever met! DO NOT go to this office He cares only about $; once you paid, he has no interest in you. Dr. education at Harvard apparently doesn't mean anything. I went to his office to have a breast replacement . my original breast implant was done 17 years ago and I needed a new replacement. My breast was original implants was not rippling by any means, and he did acknowledge and there photos that the office had taken for the before and after that can prove that. He did my breast augmentation, one of my breast is been hurting me from that day. I went there many time and explain My concern , how it hurts so much, and have the burning feelings all the time He did not acknowledge the problem and did not want to correct his mistake. He was very defensive in all our after appointment and never give me an option, he said that I should go and seen a DR that specialist in Fat Injection , that could be a solution I thought he would correct it at no cost! .. During all my post-op appointment when I communicated my concerns regarding rippling, he just said that was my body and my skin not stretching and walked away Now A over a year after I still have the same issues, and no once the office had communicated to follow up or even offer a solution. \r Dont let the Harvard education fool you. I had many many problems. \r It was my dream .I always wanted to have bigger breast. It took me a lot of time to make final decision. I made the consultation with two surgeons. I had a breast augmentation and was naive to trust his credentials. What a terrible experience! Needless to say, dont make my mistakes. Go to a doctor that makes you feel 100% comfortable and that you KNOW does good work and cares about his patients.\r more

I had a microdermabrasion treatment and it made my skin a lot smoother, and took away some of my acne scars that I have. I would love to do these treatments more often because there's a definite difference in my face with the smoothness and texture more

I was happy with the services and my experience. Beth is the best. She is the only one I trust for Botox. I love Nova Cosmetic Center! more

Great service from Dr. Karlin & great friendly staff! Went the extra mile to fit me in with my tight schedule. My vein treatments went great & I am a huge fan of their compression stockings (never thought I'd say that). Much better than the typical over the counter ones. My legs look & feel great. more

I always had facial hair. I was always plucking with tweezers. I had a callous on my finger from using tweezers so often. On some days, I wouldn't go out if I had not had time to pluck my hairs. So I finally had a few extra bucks and decided to do something about getting rid of the hair. I went to Nova and bought a plan for 12 sessions. It was the best money I ever spent. Granted, the laser will not remove lighter colored hairs. Also, there is going to be a little bit of re-growth. However, I was very pleased. After my 12 sessions, I went to an electrologist to have the remainder of hair (minimal amounts of re-growth plus the white hairs) removed. After about a year of touch-ups with electrology, my face is virtually hair-free and I could not be happier. What a difference it has made in my life. I highly recommend Nova Cosmetics for laser hair removal treatments. more

What a sham! This doctor and his nurse are totally about money and not about patients. AND, his nurse, Beth, administers botox without being properly licensed as she is only an RN! Wish I had known that BEFORE my treatment! ALSO, none of the estheticians are properly licensed to perform laser treatments! How are they getting away with this! Money, money, money. That is all they care about. Dr. Karlin is the most rude and uncaring individual I have ever met. He actually insulted my ethnicity! DO NOT go to this office!! more

Warning! This Doctor is money hunger and does not care for his patients!!! I went for consult and told him what I thought I needed, his nurse said but if your getting a aerola reduction, you don't need the cresant lift, Dr. Karlin then looked at her evil and quieted her. 3 years later, I still remember this and wish I would have listened to the nurse and my gut instincts. I actually went thru with the surgery, which turned out to be a nightmare and now I'm searching for another surgeon to fix his mistakes because he cut to much skin off! $6,000 down the drain! and scars for a lifetime!!!! Man, I should have sued, is it 2 late? more

I started going to Nova for my laser hair removal treatments and ended up switching to them for my chemical peels and skin care. Pros: Great staff and treatments Cons: Bit hard to find in the plaza the first time more

I went to Nova to have a consultation for varicose veins with Dr. Karlin and was very nervous about having treatment (I have a fear of all dr.s) When I came in the staff was wonderful. They answered all of my initial questions even though I was going to see the Dr. in a little while. When I went in for the exam the Dr. put me at ease with his humor and directness. He told me exactly what I needed to do and choices I had. He answered all of my questions and explained each step of the process. I havent had my treatment yet but I will be going right back to Dr. Karlin next month to get started! Pros: Put me at ease right away more

I went in for a laser hair removal consultation. They said I was a great candidate and although they couldn't guarantee 100% results, most people usually see about 80% . I had light skin with of somewhat course dark hair and figured I would be more then pleased with even 60% results, so I went for it. I ended up walking out paying for a year of sessions for my full leg and underarm. The staff was very nice and made it a good experience, but I went for a full year of sessions and I would say I got less then 10% results if any. It didn't even work for my underarms, which other consultants say is usually one of the easiest areas to treat. I still have several hairs per follicle that grow in the same day like before....maybe a little slower. But still. Anyway, I tried following up and seeing why I wasn't getting results and they just said they were sorry it wasn't guaranteed and that the aesthetician who worked with me would call me to discuss stuff. She never did. Pros: Very nice staff and facility Cons: Didn't get results. And no follow up. more
