I was in Durham this week on business and just happened on Ideas. I had my coffee and bagel there every day I was there. Very relaxed, very friendly place. The owner knows his regulars by name and goes out of his way to get to know the new people. I loved the Southern Pecan coffee. This place is a gem! I highly recommend it. Pros: Friendly, Relaxed, Great Coffee! more

Real people not a chain... 12/20/2004

When you come to Ideas! Coffee House you get real people with a vested interest in making you a Happy Customer. No way does Starbucks or Caribou compare. I have been to this location several times and I must admit that walking into a place where the owner remembers your name adds a special little spice to my day. If you do not like coffee you will love their Teas, Smoothies, Sandwiches and Desserts. What are you waiting for? Go see them. Pros: People, Coffee, Desserts more

Idea's is great people 12/7/2004

Not often you meet such an authentic person at a local coffeeshop. Mack is a really cool guy. Stop in, say 'hi' and have a cup. It's such a refreshing change from the local Starbucks. Pros: food, drink, company more
