i went there with a fender strat. all i wanted was a simple set up and for 50 bucks it sounded decent. the guy gary was nice enough and left my guitar. when i came back there was a buzzing to my guitar which it NEVER HAD! i told him that there was buzzing and he said that its always been there but he will try to fix it. after a few seconds he comes back saying he couldn't do anything about it. now i cant play the D string at all! how does this guy have the nerve to tell me it had a buzzing the entire time when its my guitar and i know what it sounds like? i been playing for 10 years with this guitar and i know he messed it up. as i waited there i inquired if he had a les paul for sell becuase i wanted a led zepplin sound. he said i could get that sound from some other guitars but as i said i only wanted a les paul he got ticked off. so dont mention to him you want something he doesn't have lol. This is by far the best guitar store I've ever been to. The owner is a great guy and always helps me out with anything I need and any questions i have. He is not like most business people because he shows that he actually cares about the satisfaction of his customers. I have bought 2 guitars from this store already and couldnt be more happy. He has the cheapest guitars and always goes out of his way to help his customers. For example, I recently bought a new yamaha electric guitar from this store and also purchased a stand for it. I recently decided to get new guitar stands that hang off the wall. The owner was so kind that he allowed me to exchange my stand for the wall stand that was the same price. Thats the type of guy the owner is. This is one of the reasons why it bothers me that some people choose to go out of their way to write ludicrous reviews about this man. Maybe the problem is not an incompetent owner but instead the few ignorant customers who try to damage the reputation of the store. If you are unhappy for whatever reason keep it to yourself because last time i checked, this owner has been so great that this store is one of my favorites. I recently just started playing guitar and the Guitar Exchange has made it a snap. I have tried lessons elsewhere and was really disappointed in the price and teachers. The prices at Guitar Exchange are the best and Ray is a great teacher. I really recommend the Guitar Exchange. Pros: nice atmosphere Cons: none more

Due to the rudeness and lack of judgement on the part of Gary regarding an appointment I made for my 8 year old son to take guitar lessons, this store has lost a customer. Because I didn't have time to come in and prepay for a month of guitar lessons prior to my son's acutal lesson, Gary decided to cancel my reservation without calling me to inform me or ask if i planned to keep my appointment. When I called the day before the appt. I was told that my appt. was cancelled. I have worked in customer service for many years and do not believe this is the way to handle something. In addition, his attitude on the phone, implying I had done something wrong just reinforced my decision to find an alternative school. The other shools I have called provide a free lesson prior to even committing to an appointment. more

Ok, I am in this cool little store and its very busy, the guy Gary is doing his best to handle all these people, some customers waiting are being a little rude. I could not believe it. I was very impressed with his patience. He was on top of his game and sold me and another customer at the same time. This guy is good. This store is my favorite. more

I had a wonderful experience at the Guitar Exchange. I recently bought a guitar, Gary was very friendly and helpful. I have been to many music stores and the Guitar Exchange has the best deals around. After purchasing my guitar, I signed up for lessons at the store with Art and have made remarkable progress with his instructions. more

I purchased a brand new Guild acoustic guitar for my husbands 40th Birthday. He still jams! The guys at the Guitar exchange were very helpful and made me feel more comfortable then at the other stores. The price was cheaper too. We will be back soon. Gary has a great selection of new, used and vintage guitars, amps etc. Gary's personal help with repairs or products is his specialty! His store is open 6 days a week, His teaching staff are the best in broward county!! The Guitar Exchange is like the old mom & pop music stores of yesteryear!!! If your looking for that rare guitar or want to take lesson's try Gary's first, I recommend it!!
