It was wonderful. Jessica Crowl took time to speak with me about what I wanted and how to get there. She gave me a great haircut and it didn't take long. The instructors were very nice and ensured that everyone was happy and taken care of. more

When I entered the establishment, someone was there to open the door for me, and I was verbally greeted by more than one of the staff. Check-in was smooth, and I was offered coffee and/or water as I waited for my stylist. My stylist was new to me; she introduced herself and we went to her station. We discussed the cut that I wanted, she did her job thoroughly and completely. My stylist, Annamaria, interacted with me nicely to give me a pleasant experience. I purchased a little styling gel from her and was on my way. I am very happy and quite satisfied with the services I received. more

My most recent experience as a guest at Empire beauty school, which was my first time there, went well, over all I would say. Of course, I didn't expect to get professional salon hair results, because obviously they're students and they're learning. Although I must admit that I was a bit nervous to put my hair in the hands of a beginner; I did like the way my hair turned out ( I dyed it) and everyone was really nice. You definitely get what you paid for and sometimes even more. I would recommend going here if you're on a budget and because the customer service was really great. I thought that I was at a real salon for a moment, not a school. more

Artistic Beauty College on Speedway is not at all what I expected for beauty school to be like. Since I started (almost a year ago) I have not had the same teacher for more than 2 months at a time. They go through employees like nothing! They change their mind about rules every week and are more concerned with whether or not the students don't clock in too early or don't clock out too early than they are with the education! I love the teachers there, they do their best but with only one teacher per 40 students or more, it's a mad house. You can never get the help you need and good luck passing your state board exam the first time around, they are supposed to prepare you for that and don't seeme to be doing a very good job of it. Now that Regis took over the school it's starting to shape up...just a little! more

I wanted to get my hair highlighted, so I came here because of the low prices. Because this is a beauty school, the prices are low, and the work is done by students who are not very experienced. In my case, this lack of experience showed. My highlights did not look good and the teacher ended up having to help the students fix it. It took 2-3 times as long to get my highlights done here as it would have at any other beauty salon, but it was also a lot cheaper. I would recommend coming here for first-time highlights, but if you have existing highlights that you need to get touched up, you might not be pleased with the results. more
