I am glad that I chose to have my wedding at Chapel in the Pines. I considered many places before making my final decision. This one seemed more perfect for my husband and me because he loves spending time in the woods/outdoors (hunting, fishing, etc). I thought it would be like a gift from me to him.
When we arrived, we loved what we saw. Our guests loved it too. It's the perfect place for a quaint little wedding ceremony.
Loretta seemed very nice and willing to allow us to plan our day as we chose to have it. The pictures that she took were great. I just wish I had paid for a few more.
We loved the minister. He performed such a beautiful, heartfelt ceremony.
We did not choose to have our reception at the cabin, so I can't speak about the food. I bought my cake from a bakery and brought it with us. We were allowed to take pictures cutting the cake and were allowed to cut slices of cake that our guests could take home with them. I think we were supposed to have pictures taken with us making a toast, but for some reason, that didn't happen. I didn't think about it until later that evening.
I wanted a small, quaint, beautiful wedding with just a few friends and family members and I got just that! I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Pros: Beautiful, serene
