I recommend this spa 7/22/2011

With one look, Katherine diagnosed my needs the moment I walked in the door. I recommend this spa to all my UWS neighbors. I feel this is an authentic asian treatment center that incorporates the pamper spa experience everyone expects from a NY Spa. Enjoy! more

Love this place! 7/18/2011

I love this place! would move back to NYC just to be able to get treatments weekly. I initially found it through lifebooker and I got hooked on the slimming treatments and her special facials. Katherine is the best, She changed the shape of my knees like no other specialist, and I have seen a lot of them between LA and NY. Everyone there is very kind and friendly and they go out of their way to fit me into their busy schedule when I am in town. I get results and that's what it is all about! more

My skin looks incredible 6/30/2011

I get many microdermabrasion usually looking for specials on it. The best one I received from Yin spa . She gave me a fabulous treatment . after micro than she used something soothing to calm down my skin- she said to prevent inflammation and discoloration. My skin looked clean, clear and glowing. My discolorations from previous blemishes lighten a lot. she give me three mask for use after treatment She said my skin will look more batter in 3 days – she was right. It is the place for the best microdremabrasion . more

Yin FTW 6/22/2011

When I started going to Ruth for mani/pedi, my hands were a MESS from the cheap place I was originally going to.  My cuticles were raw and the skin around my nails was dry and peeling.  In 5 short weeks Ruth changed all that and now my nails are actually growing.  This place is clean and there are only two chairs for mani/pedi.  It is not a factory.  And Ruth is sweet as can be. more

enjoyed the facial 6/15/2011

Super relaxing 6/10/2011

The treatment did feel nice 6/6/2011

I went for a Microdermabrasion and got suckered into paying an extra $20 for a mask as well, not bad considering I booked on LIfebooker so my treatment was discounted. The treatment was fine more

Cheap yet Quality Shows 5/24/2011

"I also went in for the $29 Lifebooker green tea mani/pedi deal, and after reading some of the reviews here, I was a bit worried. But I actually had a perfectly pleasant experience at Yin. Yes, when I called to book the appointment they reminded me to bring cash to tip and to tip on the full amount (not the special deal), which is definitely rude and presumptuous. I don't mind tipping generously when I've had great service somewhere, but it should be my decision how much to give. But this is not the first salon/spa I've been to that's been like this about tipping. When I arrived for my mani/pedi the receptionist (hostess? whatever) was very friendly and helped me pick out my colors, of which I thought there were plenty of choices (including the deep purple I got on my toes). The woman who did my mani/pedi was nice and very thorough and I never felt rushed (I was their last appointment of the day, which probably helped). The green tea foot soak was relaxing and smelled good, and she was very generous with the other products she used on me. I know someone else complained that they didn't clean the foot baths after her pedicure, but I actually witnessed them scrubbing down the foot bath I used after I was done. It's true that they don't have you soak your hands for the manicure, which was a bit odd. But she used plenty of other skin-softening, exfoliating, and moisturizing products, and did a great job on my nails. All in all I was very happy with the experience. Would it be worth the full $125 price they're touting? No way. But $29 plus a $20 tip was totally worth it." more

The facial was fine -- it left my skin feeling smooth and clean and for $49 for 40 minutes, I was pretty contented. more

Really great place 4/13/2011

This place is small from the street level but once you are inside there are many rooms for treatments, relaxation and a garden space to relax. I had a special manicure and a 20 minutes lie down massage. The scrub and mask for my hands along with the clean and perfectly painted nails followed by the massage was heavenly. Ruth, the technician with a soft and gentle touch removed some of the stress I was carrying on my shoulders. It was just enough for me to plan my next visit for an hour massage. You know they have a special for the SPA WEEK this month. more

Great place to go 3/29/2011

Great place to go. I would tell everyone looking for a really great spa to come here. more

LOVE IT! 3/25/2011

love Yin Spa!! I have been suffering for many years with "adult acne" and I have been at my wits end trying to look normal! I tried many spas to help with me with my acne and this has been only place that has made a difference. They have great products, but they don't shove them down your throat. I have been doing the deep cleansing facial and the diamond peel microdermabrasion, finally my skin has gotten better. They also suggested I do Acupuncture treatments to detox my body and I love it! I also recommended my friend. more
